By Administrator on Uncategorized For years I have said the Straussian neocons in the Bush administration provide the corporate media with its daily script. Now comes direct evidence this is precisely the case. “In a disturbing turn of events for an administration already plagued by sagging poll numbers and waning support for the Iraq war, Friday’s revelation that the Bush Administration issued direct guidelines for programming to media outlets is troubling even die-hard conservatives,” reports Fox News. “Late Friday a series of memos between senior Bush Administration officials and management at Viacom, Inc. were leaked calling for the media giant to focus on stories and programming choices that ‘reinforce the Administration’s positions’ and to ‘ignore and/or discredit points of view in opposition to the Bush Administration’s foreign policy objectives for the purposes of National Security,’” in other words for the purposes of the Straussian neocon agenda for one hundred or more years of horrific and bloody conflict, otherwise known as the “Clash of Civilizations,” beginning in Iraq and panning out to encompass Iran, but ultimately including the entire Middle East and eventually if suicidally going up against China and Russia, two countries armed to the teeth with nukes. Fox quotes a bevy of Democrats and others who are quite naturally outraged by the revelation. However, Democrats in particular are, to say the least, a day late and a dollar short. Barbara Boxer cranked out a statement calling for a congressional inquiry, something she and the Democrats should have done years ago when it became more than obvious Bush, who is nothing more than a sock puppet of the murderous neocons, planned to invade the Middle East and dismantle the Constitution. Instead, most Democrats signed up for the two-pronged war on Islam and the Bill of Rights. Now they are screaming bloody murder, calling for impeachment—but it is late, far too late, as Bush is essentially a dictator and nothing short of rolling tanks up to the steps of the White House will remove him from office, an office gained illicitly through Supreme Court appointment and fixed elections. At least as disturbing are the comments of Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, the Doctor Josef Mengele of the animal kingdom, who “took a more defensive stance,” according to Fox News. “Of course it raises some concerns, but we can’t let this issue be blown out of proportion. Of course there have to be media guidelines. Hell, if we want to plant I.D. chips in people and torture their loved ones until they break, we will. I know the idea of governmental control over what the media can or cannot say during wartime may be an uncomfortable topic for some to digest, but it is a necessary fact of life when our enemies are trying to kill us.” I had to read Frist’s quote a couple times because it was difficult to wrap my mind around the fact Frist, as one of the most powerful and influential men in Washington, has admitted we can expect to be microchipped and have our children or parents tortured if we dare to disagree with the government. In a couple dozen words, Bill Frist has confirmed what many of us have known for years—our government, under the control of a handful of neocons and neoliberal criminals, not only controls what the corporate media reports, but is hell-bent on turning America into a fascist dictatorship, complete with microchips and all facets of the high-tech surveillance Panopticon. Now that Frist has let slip that this is our future, I feel vindicated—for all the good such does for the sake of humanity and the once noble ideals of our trashed Constitutional republic. Of course, these current revelations may go the way of the dodo bird in short order, as the corporate media is likely not too keen to admit and discuss at length their handmaid role in reporting the news as dictated by a gaggle of Machiavellian criminals. If you doubt this, consider the fact that after it was revealed Bush gave the order to out CIA agent Valerie Plame—that is to say, Dick Cheney and the Straussian neocons gave the order because Bush does not tie his shoes without first consulting them—the corporate media, gathered around Press Secretary Scott McClellan in standard fashion (for their daily script snippets), did not bother to bring the issue up, instead concentrating on immigration, terrorism, Katrina and Iran. “But there wasn’t a single question about President Bush authorizing Scooter Libby to share highly classified information with reporters,” comments Judd on the Think Progress blog. |
