[political-research] Measuring the Depths of Badness of the Bush 43 Administration

Measuring the Depths of Badness of the Bush 43 Administration

It's not that history will judge the Bush 43 administration as the worst presidential administration in American history -- this will certainly happen.  The issue will be trying to wrap one's mind around just how very much worse than every other administration it has been, in terms of gross incompetence, sheer stupidity and pure evil.  It will take years to undo the mistakes that have been made by this gang -- assuming that the damage isn't mortal and permanent.  And the worst may still be yet to come.  In a surge of mystical fervor, propelled by his "gut instinct" and messages whispered from his father in heaven, Bush may yet attack Iran as impulsively and self-destructively as he attacked Iraq.

What the Nazis did to Germany, the neocons and Christian Zionists have done to the United States for the last five or six years.  Every policy they have promoted has drastically reduced the security, well-being and quality of life of Americans.

Perhaps what is most disturbing is that renegade Republicans and true conservatives have been more articulate and energetic in confronting this mess than Democrats.  There is little indication that the neoliberal Democratic Party is capable of repairing the ruin created by the neocon-controlled Bush administration.

Never have the concepts of accountability, transparency, realism, due process and balance of powers tasted more sweet than they do in the United States in the year 2006, after the abuse they have suffered at the hands of the Bush administration.
