[political-research] Have the Neocons Already Destroyed the United States?

Have the Neocons Already Destroyed the United States?

It's possible that Bush and the neocons have not merely damaged the United States severely, but destroyed it irrevocably.

During the last few years, through a great deal of violent rhetoric and violent actions, they have driven major oil-producing nations -- including Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela -- away from the United States and towards the orbit of China, Russia and India.  During a period when we should have been focused on developing and improving our good relations with these oil-producing nations, as we enter an era of oil scarcity, Bush and the neocons did everything in their power to wreck those relations.

There is no way that we will be able to control these oil resources through military force, or to credibly threaten nations, like Russia and China, which own large arsenals of nuclear weapons.  The game is essentially over, and the nations which have formed themselves into an alliance, to counter the hostile behavior of Bush and the neocons, are holding the upper hand.

Not only can't Bush play chess in international politics, but he can't even play checkers or tic-tac-toe.  What could be more simple?  Don't anger nations upon whose resources you are dependent for your economic prosperity and survival, especially when other powerful nations are willing and eager to displace you.

It will be very difficult to undo the damage that Bush and the neocons have done, and to restructure the new balance of international forces.  America and Israel vs. the whole damned world -- a certain recipe for the destruction of the United States.
