[political-research] Britain, Unlike Israel, Opposes Iran Strike

Blair Refuses to Back Iran Strike

[Comment: all the pressure for an American strike on Iran is coming from Israel and the Israel lobby.  No other nation in the world, and no other lobby in America (including the oil lobby), is agitating relentlessly for an American attack on Iran.  Israel and the Israel lobby stand out conspicuously as the only parties in the world pushing for this war.  So why is the Bush administration even considering such an option, especially after the disaster in Iraq?  Only the power of the Israel lobby in American politics can explain such a peculiar situation, in which the United States is contemplating starting a war that is radically contrary to its own best interests.]
