If that WAS an authentic piece of debris, laying there like that, it
would be proof they blew it apart with laser weaponry.
Notice the grass isn't even singed, tho forces that leave nothing but
aluminum and rivets would create heat, or it would have been difficult
to vanish the rest of the plane near that verdant green background anyway.

They will get away with this because people have had their eyes and
their brains disconnected from each other.
They will read the caption and nod. They are walking hamburger.
