[political-research] Daniel Pipes Goes Mental on the FBI

The FBI, like every other government organization around the world, certainly deserves regular and vigorous criticism. But there is something especially bizarre about watching Daniel Pipes rabidly attacking the FBI because he believes it is not sufficiently overflowing with hatred for the enemies of Pipes and his fellow extremists in Israel:

Pipes probably requires more close observation by anti-terrorist agencies than most American Muslims, because his rhetorical style is often indistinguishable from that of violent extremists like Meir Kahane and his followers.

Fanatics demand that everyone hate their enemies with the same obsessive passion as the fanatic -- those who won't fall in line join the fanatic's enemies list.  Fanatics end up by turning the entire world violently against themselves.  Pipes is gradually writing himself right out of American political culture.
