The following was sent to me by one of the email list members and the
author of the article below granted me (and you) permission to spread
this far and wide.  They are working in India to document the extent of
DU pollution that has come out of Afghanistan and fallen upon the
people of India.  They are working along the same lines we are here in
the United States to first prove it, and then put a stop to it and get
medical care for the abandoned and neglected.

This recent ­ Urgent Deal ­ between Bush and India might be a
Pre-emptive Strike to shut down the efforts in India to prove that DU
has bit them in the butt, too.

We are still waiting to see if any of the nations in Europe wake up to
the fact that they got "peppered" with DU too, since the Aldermaston DU
would have to have come across them to have made it to the UK.

This is the article from India and then I'll return at the end with
comments and additional information.  It is interesting to see how
people of other nations view the United States and the Bush-Cheney
cabal's use of DU weapons.

They Kill Us For Sport

Depleted uranium is a deadly toy in the hands of the ruling bloodlines.
A particle of DU ingested or inhaled can cause one or more of the 90+
seriously debilitating diseases, fatal or temporarily non-fatal.[1]
[see list of 91 diseases, Annex 1]  The half life of DU is 4.5 billion
years, and it can destroy living things and the environment; most
importantly it can destroy perfectly healthy lives. [2]

Depleted uranium has been used in at least the last four wars by the
United States and its allies: Gulf War 1, Bosnia and Kosovo in the
Balkans, Afghanistan and Gulf War 2. The last two of the four wars, all
illegal, took place in 2001 (Afghanistan) and 2003 (Iraq). Effects of
the contamination can manifest from within a few hours to five years.

Evidences clearly indicate that depleted uranium is blowing in the wind
all over the world. [3] Its effects on health are showing up in distant
lands. Earlier, gulf war veterans and local civilians were affected;
now, of all the places, the US is showing six-fold increase in just
lung cancer cases.[4]

 The Emerging Ratio

The population of the USA was 298, 298,906 on March 14, 2006, say 298
million.[5] The recorded 172,000 lung cancer cases for January and
February 2006 equates to 34 cases per 10,000 persons-men, women and
children- up from the previously normal trend line of 5.8 per 10,000
persons per annum, implying that additional 28.2 cases per 10,000
persons have been added and recorded in a short time. It certainly
can't be due to more Americans smoking cigarettes and certainly not due
to "other unexplained factors" such as lifestyle changes, which do
change but over decades, not a few years. The most plausible one is
that the air we breathe is contaminated with depleted uranium and it is
killing healthy people all over the world.

If the population of the United States of America shows such an
explosive growth of lung cancer what does it imply for the rest of the
world? The world population on the same day and time was 6,503,376,192.
Assuming the same ratio as that of the United States, i.e. additional
28.2 cases per 10,000 persons, the world would see, or is probably
already facing, an additional 18.34 million cases of untreatable cancer
per year, or 1.52 million cases per month. Do they know it?

 Tobacco And Lung Cancer

"In the 20th century, approximately 100 million people died world-wide
from tobacco-associated diseases (cancer, chronic lung disease,
cardiovascular disease and stroke)," says a WHO report. [6]  This means
about one million deaths per year, although it is understandable that
there were fewer cases early on in the 20th century as compared to
later when the numbers reached nearly 1.5 million. In 2001, there were
1.5 million lung cancer deaths worldwide, or 125,000 per month.[7]

Now, if the US data shows 172,000 new cases in January-February 2006,
an average of 86,000 cases per month, something terrible has happened.
Nuclear radiation induced cancers are peculiar: with right facility and
correct testing protocol, the murderers can't hide. With care, all the
91radiation induced illnesses, identified by Leuren, can be traced to
depleted radiation poisoning.

 The Map Says Something

The worst contamination would of course occur at and around the
theatres of war, but regions within 1000 mile radius would face serious
depleted uranium contamination. [1]

1000-mile radius means a total area of 3.14 million square miles. The
two circles in the map represent an area of 6.28 million square miles
and, deducting say 20% for the overlapping area, the net affected area
is just over 5 million square mile. The total land area of earth is
about 57.3 million square mile, which implies that roughly 8% of total
land area of the earth is now severely contaminated. And I am not
including Bosnia and Kosovo theatres of war, which has seriously
affected the Balkans as well as the NATO troops.[8]

(My comment:  I wonder if the people of Israel are aware that the
desired policy of their government to have the US attacking Arab
nations has polluted their nation with DU?  Also, you can draw the same
such circles around US target ranges, test ranges and military bases
where US citizens have been exposed.  Additionally, the air flow from
Iraq to the UK would have taken the DU contamination across much of
Europe. -KS)

Referring to the map, with Afghanistan's capital Kabul as the centre,
depleted uranium affected regions include Pakistan, entire northwest
India, parts of Nepal, parts of China, major regions of Central Asian
Republics, Iran, and the Gulf countries, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi,
two major financial and trading centres. Taking Baghdad as the centre,
the regions affected include the entire West Asia, parts of Egypt,
parts of Greece, Cyprus, regions around the Caspian Sea and islands in
the eastern Mediterranean.

It should be noted that Iran and some littoral states of Caspian Sea
have been hit twice (see the overlapping area of the two circles)
within two years: in 2001 and again in 2003. Thus the severest effect
would be felt in Iran, a few gulf countries, and a few Central Asian
states.

 Population Affected

The total estimated population within the two circles was about 857
million (See Table) in July 2005. If the US is showing a sharp six-fold
rise in incidence of lung cancer alone, what will be the fate of these
857 million+ people in the core zones? Washington is exactly 6193.94
miles from radioactive Baghdad; and Kabul is just a bit further, about
6922.93 miles away, also highly radioactive.[9] The capitals of 19
countries are within 1000 mile radius and include New Delhi (621
miles), Islamabad (232), Bishkek (651), Beirut (515), Cairo (806),
Ankara (785), Jerusalem (546), Damascus (468), Kuwait City (347),
Nikosia (643), Teheran (429), Abu Dabi (856), Aman (503), Riyadh (615),
Ashqabat (645) and so on. And Americans are catching lung cancer by the
thousands?

Countries like India, Pakistan, Nepal, Afghanistan, Iraq, and some
Central Asian States do not even have well established, dependable
cancer screening facilities, let alone determining whether the illness
is due to depleted uranium contamination or careless handling of toxic
pesticides in the farms.

Governments Will Continue To Mislead

There are studies that clearly establish correlation between cancer and
exposure to a decoction of pesticides used in India's farmlands and in
some of these regions (especially Punjab) the incidences of cancer (of
blood, lymphatic systems, esophagus, bone, cervical, etc) ranges from
5.12 to 10.3 per 10,000 persons. In the US itself, the Centre for
Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), analysis of pesticide residue
data on 9282 people nationwide revealed that among those who had blood
and urine sample tested, 100% showed pesticide residue.[10] Now, this
is a global phenomenon and has definitely caused serious health
problems (immune disorder, low birth weight of babies, and a host of
other degenerative diseases. But a spike is missing.

 "We can expect to see multiple cancers in one person. These multiple
unrelated cancers in the same individual have been reported in
Yugoslavia and Iraq in families that had no history of any cancer. This
is unknown in the previous studies of cancer," "a new phenomenon," says
Leuren Moret. But weakness in data management, investigative
techniques, and training of medical and paramedical personnel will be
used to the hilt by governments in the affected countries, bribed by
the US administration and corporate interests and lulled by the lullaby
of the mainstream media, to whitewash the population that DU poisoning
is one of the many benign environmental hazards that we must live with,
as was done by analysts with "depleted grey matter" in four US
government (directly or indirectly) supported studies.[11, 12, 13, 14] 

Long Term Consequences

In our living memory we have the instance of Chernobyl. Scientists say
that Chernobyl was not a nuclear explosion; it was just a huge, hot
fire in the nuclear fuel. Yet, the radioactive fallout from Chernobyl
contaminated farmlands and livestock around Europe and Scandinavia for
a long time, and the radiation is still traceable in the earth and some
living things. The regions surrounding Chernobyl shall remain
uninhabitable for an estimated three to six hundred years! [15]
Depleted uranium is bit nastier; a fact that did occur to the omnicidal
maniacs controlling the US administration.

Now, project this scientific fact over just one country, India. The
entire north-western region, including the Himalayas is affected. All
perennial rivers flowing from the Himalayas into the Gangetic plains
(the Ganga and Yamuna with hundreds of tributaries) and into Pakistan
(the five rivers: Indus, Satluj, Jhelum, Ravi and Chenab), will
contaminate the largest and oldest food growing area in the world. This
region has a high livestock population that supports India's and
Pakistan's fuel, food, and farming needs. They will die or will have to
be destroyed because of contamination.

The Northwestern region is also economically the fastest growing region
in India, predicted to catch up with Europe in 2020.  Migration from
slower growing eastern region has swelled the transient population in
western India and we are talking about seasonal migration of millions
of surplus farm/landless labourers, roughly 5 million live in Delhi
alone eking out a living. Poor, physically weak because of inadequate
nutrition, without access to proper medical facilities, these people
will be severely affected. When they contract one of the 90 odd
radiation induced illnesses, they wouldn't even know what destroyed
them, what destroyed their families, and what eventually killed them?
 I am talking about numbers running into millions, every month, in the
identified regions.

Destruction Of The World's Oldest Civilizations

Getting back to the two regions as a whole, let us not forget that this
region gave the world all the modern religions: Hinduism, Buddhism,
Jainism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Sikhism, the Baha'i faith, and
hundreds of lesser faiths.  People from all over the world throng these
regions to pay respects to their messiahs and their Gods, excluding the
Pope, of course.

And despite all odds, these regions sustained life, created wealth,
sustained a large population until the European colonialists arrived in
the early 18th Century. They destroyed the sustainability of this
region, plundered the people and their natural resources, year after
year. And when their empire failed, they passed the control of these
regions to the US. And what has the US government done? It has
destroyed not only some of the greatest civilization the world has ever
known; they are destroying their own people.

Dr Rosalie Bertell says, "Veterans and civilians (in these wars) WERE
exposed to DU; and this inhaled DU represents a seriously enhanced risk
of damaged immune systems and fatal cancers."  "Those immediately
downwind (will) die quickly, in hours or days. Those further downwind
will take longer."[15] Those around the world will eventually suffer an
unimaginably painful premature death.

What Can People Do?

There is no time to wring one's hands. The people of this global
village need to join hands in a global peaceful, non-violent,
non-cooperation with governments that lie and kill. Let us all form
small local committees and ask our governments to come clean on DU.
Mobilize support to help veterans and civilians who are suffering
without differentiating between race, caste, creed or religion. Tell
every person connected with government, civil society, the police, and
members of the armed forces that they are all in it up to their neck.
Finally, inform yourself, educate your family and neighbourhood; read
the hundreds of authoritative papers written by scientists. Is there
any reason to fear when all of us are under death sentence for a crime
none of us committed? If we continue to cooperate with a few homicidal
maniacs it'd make them more arrogant. The power is in your hand.

Known general illnesses inflicted by internalization of depleted
uranium particles; compiled by Ms Leuren Moret from Interviews with
Gulf War Vets and their families (partial list)

Our DU detoxification affiliate recently tested persons in Bahrain and
they are indeed exposed to DU.  They have not been able to establish a
large enough group to project what percentage of the Bahrain population
is DU positive but it will be high enough.   Additionally, it is a DU
exposure that should have never happened.  Bahrain falls within the map
above and you can see in the table how many citizens are potentially
affected just in that one nation.  

In the sample population that was tested, about 80% of them were DU
positive.

The implications are far greater however when you consider the
Aldermaston Report that detected DU spikes as far away as the UK after
the bombing of Afghanistan in 2001 and Iraq in 2003.  The Desert Storm
matter never ended because during the 12 years of sanctions and No-Fly
Zone, both the Clinton ­ Gore Administration and Bush ­ Cheney
Administration continued to bomb with DU weapons and even hitting
non-military targets like water treatment plants, waste sewage plants,
etc to "bomb Iraq into the Stone Age", to quote Zionist Neocon Edward
Luttwak.

That list above of known negative health effects of being exposed to DU
can be replicated almost anywhere in the United States by interviewing
veterans of any given US Army or Marine group and conducting the proper
medical tests.  These are the same types of tests that VA either does
not want to run or they do not accurately report to the veteran patient
their true medical condition.  Why?  Because that would become prima
facia evidence against the United States government.

If the US government admits to this and starts providing the
appropriate treatment they are admitting to war crimes and crimes
against humanity.

A single DU atom can upend the health of a human body and it is even
uglier if that particular person is also exposed to Strontium 90,
U-236, Plutonium 239 or Neptunium 239 that decays back into Plutonium.
 All of those are man-made and only come from the inside of nuclear
core reactions in nuclear power plants.  Each of those isotopes are
known to be extremely deadly and harmful to the health of anyone that
comes into contact with them.

Medical and scientific experts have known for years that radon is
dangerous to your health, concentrates in basements, and causes lung
cancer and other types of malignancies.  The US government does not
even pretend that radon is not harmful.

2.  What is Radon?

Radon-222 is a radioactive gas released during the natural decay of
thorium and uranium, which are common, naturally occurring elements
found in varying amounts in rock and soil. Odorless, invisible, and
without taste, radon cannot be detected with the human senses.

Radon-222 decays into radioactive elements, two of which --
polonium-218 and polonium-214 -- emit alpha particles, which are highly
effective in damaging lung tissues. These alpha-emitting radon decay
products have been implicated in a causal relationship with lung cancer
in humans. 

Radon is created during the slow breakdown of uranium that is naturally
occurring in the environment.  It is an odorless, colorless, deadly
gas.

Now, if it is deadly as a gas in your basement, how much more dangerous
and deadly is it if the decaying is happening in your body?

As disclosed in the Depleted Uranium, Twenty-First Edition, uranium is
a metal in the actinide class of metals and can seek out to bond with
other elements to create hydrides, fluorides, chlorides, hydrides,
oxides, uranates, a water-soluble form known as uranyl, and
organometallics.  It is also known to have an affinity for phosphates
and can emit alpha particles within the human body that can break both
chains of the DNA because it is "point blank" so to speak and inside of
the human body.  

I was stunned and infuriated when doctors and nurses at Landstuhl,
Germany confirmed that they were finding DU positive soldiers and were
ordered to make no written record, take blood, freeze it and the
Pentagon would check back in two or three years.  That folks is nothing
short of criminal negligence in its sheerest definition..

You have to stop and ponder that the leaders of the land of the free
and the home of the brave are merely a bunch of cowards and war
criminals that refuse to face the consequences of their own actions.

Our military soldiers go into service as some of the most physically
fit people on this planet and come home chronically ill.  That is a
fact and that is something the U.S. government does not want you to
know.  They would rather ignore the problem, but we say enough is
enough in the ignoring the problem to death, figuratively and
literally.

We are moving to use an arsenal of detoxification methodologies,
internal medicine and nanotechnology at the human body level and in a
new generation of medical devices.

In a way, it will be a different type of war but this one is to save
those neglected and abandoned by our own government.

Next time you see one of the D.C. twits smiling for the camera with the
troops, remember all that you have learned about DU recently.  They are
not great leaders; they are callous and inhumane people on both sides
of the aisle.  They are war criminals, guilty of genocide and should be
viewed and treated as such.

The DU, Strontium 90, U-236, Plutonium 239 and Neptunium 239 that
decays back into Plutonium cause the types of medical abnormalities
listed above and some that are not on that list.  Even the anthrax
vaccine is known to cause early onset of amyloidosis at far greater
percentages than the normal adult population and that alone is known to
cause melanoma, a deadly form of cancer.

They (Democrats, Republicans, defense contractors) are wrecking the

Americans who tuned in for one of President George W. Bush's rare press
conferences saw a cornered animal trying to squirm his way out of
trouble by doing what he has always done - evading the truth.

Bush's attempt to showcase himself as a leader who could handle tough
questions from the press corps fell just as flat as his unscripted
town-meeting style appearance in Cleveland the day before.

His eyes darted from side-to-side as he fielded questions about his
real reasons for invading Iraq. He stammered. Stalled. Used the word
"uh" more times than a suspect caught red-handed. He still claimed his
reasons for invading Iraq were just, even though those reasons have
been proven wrong. He claims the war can be won, a view not shared by
many of his generals. He claimed a lot of things - few of them true.

"President Bush exhibited symptoms of pathological prevarication," says
Dr. Stephanie Crossfield, a psychologist who treats people who have
trouble telling the truth and who watched Bush's performances on Monday
and Tuesday at my request. "His eye movements, gestures, and changes in
voice tone all display traits of consistent evasion of the truth."

This isn't the first time I've asked Dr. Crossfield to study a
politician. She watched several of former President Bill Clinton's
press conferences and came to similar conclusions about Clinton
disassociation with reality.

When studying a subject, she watches the eyes.

"Eye movement is difficult to control," she said. "You find that the
eyes dart away in specific patterns when a person is not telling the
truth. The President's eyes dart a great deal. He is not comfortable
facing the truth."

Dr. Justin Frank, author of the book, Bush on the Couch: Inside the
Mind of the President, agrees with Dr. Crossfield.

"President Bush marches deeper and deeper into a world of his own,"
says Dr. Frank. "Central to Bush's world is an iron will which demands
that external reality be changed to conform to his personal view of how
things are."

Republicans reluctantly admit Bush has lost touch with the truth. Sen.
Chuck Hagel says the President is "disconnected from reality."

Venture out beyond the Beltway and you find conservative Republicans
shaking their heads and wondering the same thing.

Dennis Dalbey cuts the hair of Camp Pendleton's young Marines, giving
them the regulation haircut before they head to combat in Iraq.  His
barbershop on the Coast Highway near the base in California is covered
with painted yellow ribbons, flags and "We support our troops" banners.
But Dalbey, a Republican and a self-described conservative who voted
for Bush, says he is fed up with the President's lies.

"Enough is enough," he says. "It's time to bring the boys home."

In San Marcos, retired Navy veteran Herb Ranquist, 77, sits in the
local VFW hall and says Bush is a failure.

"I voted for him two times, and I wish I hadn't," Ranquist says. "It
was probably one of the worst mistakes I ever made."

Dr. Crossfield says it doesn't take a degree in psychology or advanced
training in spotting liars to realize the President plays fast and
loose with the truth.

"More and more ordinary Americans see the evidence clearly every day,"
she says. "It is difficult to ignore."

Dr. Frank says Bush can't change his ways.

"Taking responsibility has always been hard for George W. Bush," he
says.  "Taking responsibility for inflicting harm on others, a major
step in the development of maturity, is a step President Bush has yet
to make. Instead, he persists in lying to himself."

And to the American people.

The Nuclear Madness Of
George Bush

On February 6, US President George Bush confirmed his intention to
commit the US to a program of reprocessing nuclear fuel. Touted as a
key measure in the ''Advanced Energy Initiative’‘, outlined in Bush’s
January State of the Union speech, the plutonium extracted from spent
fuel is allegedly to be used as a fuel source for a new generation of
nuclear power plants across the US and elsewhere.

The proposal will overturn a 29-year ban in the US on reprocessing
spent nuclear fuel to extract plutonium, implemented in 1977 by
President Jimmy Carter as a gesture of the US’s commitment to reduce
nuclear weapons proliferation. The ban was also motivated by the
failure of the West Valley reprocessing facility in New York, which was
closed down in 1972 after six years of operation and only processing a
fraction of the nuclear waste sent there. The clean-up of this site
continues, at a cost in excess of US$5 billion.

Bush has requested that Congress approve $250 million in the 2007
budget as the first instalment on a program to develop the technology
and facilities for reprocessing spent nuclear fuel. Through the
establishment of the Global Nuclear Energy Partnership (GNEP), Bush
claims that the threat of nuclear weapons proliferation will be
significantly reduced and that the program will facilitate “the
expansion of civilian nuclear power in the United States and encourage
civilian nuclear power in foreign countries to evolve in a more
proliferation-resistant manner”.

Despite the massive environmental dangers associated with reprocessing
spent nuclear fuel, and the potential for this program to significantly
expand Washington’s capabilities for waging nuclear warfare, Bush said
in his weekly radio broadcast on February 18: “As America and other
nations build more nuclear power plants, we must work together to
address two challenges: We must dispose of nuclear waste safely, and we
must keep nuclear technology and material out of the hands of terrorist
networks and terrorist states.”

Bush explained that the US plans to begin the construction of new
reactors for power generation by the end of the decade. US
undersecretary of state for arms control and international security
Robert Joseph was reported in the Pakistan Daily Times on February 18
as stating that the GNEP aims to “prevent future Iran”, a reference to
the hyped-up claims of Iran’s alleged nuclear weapons production
capabilities.

According to the US Department of Energy (DOE) GNEP website, the
process will go something like this: the US, along with advanced
nuclear countries such as Russia and Japan (“fuel supplier nations”),
will enrich uranium and provide it to developing countries (“user
nations”), who will commit to not develop their own enrichment
programs. The supplier nations will also provide technology in the form
of new generation reactors or small-scale reactors.

The spent fuel will be returned by the user nation for reprocessing,
where the plutonium will be extracted and used in fuel for (the yet to
be developed) advanced burner reactors and waste will be stored in
waste depositories in the supplier nations. The DOE has already set
aside 17.4 tonnes of highly enriched uranium to establish the “fuel
bank” for the GNEP.

Windfall for nukes industry

In addition to the GNEP funding, Bush has requested that $347 million
be made available for nuclear power research and development, an
increase of 55% on the 2006 budget. The spending boom earmarked for
nuclear technology will give a leg-up to the ailing nuclear power
industry in the US, where 103 reactors currently generate 20% of
electricity. Bush wants the US to emulate France, where nuclear
reactors generate 78% of electricity needs.

“We didn’t think nuclear was going to come this hard and fast”, Andrew
White, chief executive of General Electric Nuclear, stated in an
article in the Qatar-based Gulf Times on February 18. According to
White, GE Nuclear, a division of the GE Energy unit, is expected to
double or treble its income within the next decade.

White believes that as many as 200 reactors will be built in the US
within the next century, to replace the current reactors and meet the
expected increase in demand for electricity. The nuclear slush fund
provided by the White House has given greater certainty to GE and other
companies that build reactors.

Bush’s latest pro-nuclear proclamations follow the energy bill passed
last August, which committed $2 billion and tax-break incentives to
assist energy companies develop the first six next-generation nuclear
reactors.

It is estimated that between 1948 and 1998 more than $66 billion was
spent on nuclear energy research and subsidies. The bill for the
reprocessing component of GNEP is likely to rapidly grow — in 1996 the
National Academy of Sciences estimated that the cost of reprocessing
irradiated fuel from US reactors would easily exceed $100 billion.

Next generation nukes

The reprocessing of nuclear fuel from other nations and from within the
US means that the US government will have access to (and control over)
an exceptional amount of plutonium, with the potential for use in next
generation nuclear weapons (like the “bunker-buster”) that Bush and
Pentagon officials are keen to develop. Bush has requested $27.7
million to be spent on the Reliable Replacement Warhead program. A
January 31 press release by the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS)
notes that “reprocessing just the spent fuel rods produced by US
reactors in one year would result in some 20 metric tons of plutonium —
enough to build over 3000 nuclear weapons”.

Wherever reprocessing has taken place, it has resulted in huge amounts
of radioactive waste and major environmental degradation in and around
the facilities involved. The Sellafield plant in Britain is responsible
for converting large parts of the Irish Sea into a biologically dead
body of water. Another infamous example is the Hanford Nuclear
Reservation located in south-central Washington. Established in the
1940s as part of the Manhattan Project for the creation of the world’s
first nuclear weapons, a large quantity of weapons-grade plutonium was
produced at the site for decades.

The 1518 square kilometre site is a toxic contaminated wasteland of
immense proportion. Fifty-three million gallons of highly radioactive
and chemical waste are stored in 177 underground tanks, each the size
of a three-storey building. At least 70 of the tanks have ruptured,
leaking an estimated 1 million gallons of waste into the surrounding
soil and groundwater. The adjoining Columbia River is considered to be
the most nuclear-polluted river in the Western hemisphere.

The cost of cleaning up radioactive waste at Handford has been revised
upwards in the last five years from $4.3 billion in 2000 — when the
contract was awarded to Bechtel (which plans to vitrify the waste into
glass logs) — to a massive $50-$60 billion, with completion of works by
2035.

Bush administration and DOE representatives claim that the Uranium
Extraction Plus (or Urex+) method of reprocessing will reduce the
volume of radioactive waste produced by nuclear power plants. Yet this
is strongly contested by US scientists and anti-nuclear advocates.
According to the UCS, “reprocessing does not reduce the need for
storage and disposal of radioactive waste, and a geological repository
would still be required. Plutonium constitutes only about one percent
of the spent fuel from US reactors. After reprocessing, the remaining
material will be in several different waste forms, and the total volume
of nuclear waste will have been increased by a factor of twenty or
more, including low-level waste and plutonium contaminated waste.”

Furthermore, “to make a significant reduction in the amount of
high-level nuclear waste that would require disposal, the used fuel
would need to be reprocessed and reused many times with an extremely
high degree of efficiency — which is very expensive and would take
years. For example, in 1999, the Department of Energy estimated it
would cost $279 billion over a 118-year period to fully implement a
reprocessing and recycling program for the entire inventory of US spent
fuel.”

The UCS also points out that previous research by DOE scientists Dr E.
D. Collins and Dr Bruce Godwin contradict the claim that the Urex+
method is “proliferation resistant”. Collin’s research for the DOE’s
Advanced Fuel Cycle Initiative highlights that the plutonium mixture
produced by a process like Urex+ generates a much lower dosage rate of
radiation than the conventional Purex method used elsewhere, making it
easier to handle and thus easier to steal.

Godwin explained in a workshop in 1999 on nuclear fuel that
“Examination of various cycles and the opinions of weapons-design
experts lead to the conclusion that there is no 'proliferation-proof’
nuclear power cycle”. According to UCS senior scientist Dr Edwin Lyman,
the research of Collins and Godwin “clearly demonstrates that the
administration’s new reprocessing program will pose a serious risk that
terrorists could acquire the material needed to make a nuclear weapon
from a US facility”.

A mountain of waste

The DOE plans to consolidate all of the stockpiled nuclear waste in the
Yucca Mountain waste disposal site located in Nevada. With the prospect
of a large number of new nuclear reactors being built in the US in the
next 90 years, there will be even more pressure to dispose of the
nuclear waste from power plants — presently around 55,000 tonnes of
waste and quickly approaching the legally allowable limit for Yucca
Mountain (which at the earliest will be operational in 2015).

Philip Finck, the deputy associate laboratory director for Argonne
National Laboratory, told a Congressional hearing last year that he
expected the increase in the number of nuclear power plants would mean
that the “US will need up to nine Yucca Mountain-type repositories by
the end of this century”.

Environmental activists and Nevada state officials strongly oppose the
Yucca Mountain facility and are worried that the GNEP and reprocessing
plan for spent fuel will further increase the risks of accidents and
radioactive pollution. Bob Loux, who heads up the Nevada Commission on
Nuclear Projects also believes that “the only reason that they’re
proposing reprocessing is Yucca Mountain is failing”.

Tabletop fusion breakthroughs are too hot for ideologically entrenched
scientists

In the world of physics, one of the fastest ways to commit academic
suicide
is to conduct research into tabletop fusion. Mere mention of the term
"tabletop fusion" or "cold fusion" causes previously logical,
unemotional
physics department colleagues to transform into raging cultist lunatics
who
believe that discrediting low-energy nuclear reactions is a religious
calling. Witness the treatment of Fleishman and Pons, two chemists who
demonstrated tabletop fusion in the late 1980's and were immediately
attacked, discredited and ostracized by advocates of hot fusion. Yet
cold
fusion experiments are alive and well today, with verified results being
replicated in literally hundreds of labs around the world.

Now a new round of attacks is being unleashed against Purdue researcher
Rusi
Taleyarkhan, who has gone public with his construction of a tabletop
nuclear
fusion device that's about the size of a coffee maker. Taleyarkhan's
device
produces excess heat energy via low-energy nuclear reactions (LENR)
initiated through a phenomenon called sonoluminescence. In
sonoluminescence,
high-frequency sound waves are blasted into special liquids (like heavy
water or heavy acetone), momentarily creating micro-bubbles that
collapse in
a burst of light and heat energy, leaving behind obvious traces of
low-energy nuclear reactions such as excess helium.

Similar to this process, any mention of the word "sonoluminescence" in
an
academic setting causes sound vibrations to reach the ears of competing
physics colleagues whose intellectual bubbles burst in a dazzling
display of
heated jealousy. This result, too, has been reproduced in research
universities around the world.

At Purdue, Taleyarkhan is now being accused of actually conducting
interesting science. How was he to know that certain areas of
interesting
results would be considered sacrilegious to the Church of Hot Fusion?

LENR research is welcomed almost everywhere in the world -- Japan,
Germany,
Canada, Russia -- but not in the U.S. In the United States, the
censorship
of science has now become routine in areas like global warming and cold
fusion, where the only researchers allowed to continue working are
those who
subscribe to the politics that says pollution does not affect the
environment and there's no such thing as low-energy nuclear reactions.
Even
while we are facing a certain energy crisis in the years ahead, some of
the
most promising clean energy research being conducted today is routinely
censored, criticized and shut down. All in the name of science, of
course.

As I've always said, a true scientist is one who asks questions of
nature
and observes the answers, regardless of whether those answers comply
with
political protocol or institutional biases. In this way, scientists like
Taleyarkhan are true scientists. Their critics, on the other hand, are
just
altar boys working for the Church of Preordained Science, where the
overriding belief is that all science has already been discovered, and
no
new breakthroughs will ever be found unless they involve billions of
dollars
in government grants, enormous budgets, and over-inflated egos to match.
This is why I believe the United States is being left behind in clean
energy
research. My prediction is that either Japan or Canada will soon
commercialize LENR devices, leaving the U.S. holding tightly to its
outdated
oil economy and massive, multi-billion dollar hot fusion projects that
have
yet to feed a single Watt of electricity into the national power grid.

I've been trying to stay out of this debate, but..

Let's consider something here.

We're dealing with a 'projectile' travelling at 500+ mph and made of
ton's of aircraft grade aluminum with support beams, and enclosing a
sealed, pressurized compartment - and striking against the thin
glass and 1/4" steel frame skin of the building.....

On a different scale, and with easily available materials...that
would be sorta like taking a thin regular plastic soda straw &

No. I've done it myself many times to teach my kids physics, and as
a neat 'magic trick'. The trick is the internal pressure inside the
straw, created by you holding your thumb over the end. Take your
thumb off, and lose the pressure, and the straw crumples. It also
depends on the speed you 'stab' at.

Suppose you have gathered your evidence and are presenting your best "false-flag" evidence to some intelligent person, and suppose that someone else comes up to the two of you and says "I'm an investigator who has been around for a long time, I'm one of the established names as a 9/11 investigator. Don't listen to this guy talk about remote control planes and no-hijackers aboard -- because I got news for you -- that plane that you thought you saw crash into South Tower never happened. I have respected much of your work, but this thread is wearing thin. Perhaps we can all be welcome to our opinions regarding the alleged planes in the tower attacks. In the final analysis, what perhaps is most important is that hundreds of factors and a huge body of circumstantial evidence attest to the false flag, domestically manufactured nature of the 9/11 attacks and their necessity in the larger framework of the elite Corporatists requirements for eternal war to ensure the short-term survival of their repellant, unequitable and profligate ego-driven system. That said, I know that, for me, some of the most persuasive factoids are:
* The whatever it was that hit the North tower, filmed by the "Naudet Brothers," flashed as it penetrated the building, following which anomalous explosions broke out over the face of the building, including one up at the parapet of the building, several hundred feet from the impact.
* The "plane" that hit the South tower appeared entirely unnatural and was surrounded by an anomalous haze as it approached the building, but changed into a more realistic image, with completely different lighting on it, in the last few hundred yards of approach.
* The outer 1/3 of the starboard wing of the STP (South tower "plane") VANISHES for several frames perhaps 100 yards from the video in at least three videos of the event taken from commercial sources.
* There was a hovering point of light that kept pace with the STP as it approached the building, visible in at least three videos, that ended up hovering near the building as the plane "entered."
* The STP vanished into the face of the building, leaving an unbroken surface of glass (!) for at least two or three frames in every video of the penetration I have seen, before the explosions on the building develop in the same anomalous manner that those on the North tower did.
* A flash also appears at the nose of the STP immediately before it "penetrates" the face of the building.
* One of the "Naudet Brothers" also happens to be in place with his camera to capture the impact of the STP (imagine how lucky these guys to get images of both planes just by chance) as he films a man talking on the street below the building from below the man (why he chose that camera angle is certainly puzzling) - and the man talking doesn't look up AT ALL as the plane enters the frame and penetrates the building, only reacting as the explosion above blossoms out.

I would appreciate it if you don't take my posting as a personal attack, and try to slice, dice and attack my observations, which are an expression of my subjective truth. We're on the same page as far as what should matter is concerned. Further fragmentation of what's left of the "9/11 truth movement" only benefits You-Know-Who.

TVA management transition to begin next week

KNOXVILLE — The most significant management restructuring in the history of the Tennessee Valley Authority will begin next week when six new members take the oath of office to serve on an expanded board of directors.

The swearing-in ceremony will be March 31 at TVA headquarters in Knoxville, with an organizational meeting of the new part-time board to immediately follow.

An agenda has not been finalized, TVA spokesman John Moulton said yesterday.

One of the board's first orders of business will be to select a chairman and then launch a search for TVA's first chief executive officer. The CEO will assume day-to-day management of the country's largest public utility while directors take a more hands-off role.

The new members are: Donald DePriest of Columbus, Miss.; Susan Williams and William Sansom of Knoxville; Howard Thrailkill of Huntsville, Ala.; Robert "Mike" Duncan, of Inez, Ky.; and Dennis Bottorff of Nashville, Tenn.

They will join Chairman Bill Baxter and board member Skila Harris.

President Bush has yet to nominate a ninth candidate to the board under a restructuring plan pushed since 1997 by Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn., and adopted finally by Congress in late 2004.

Frist says a part-time, nine-member board and full-time CEO will be more corporate and accountable than the full-time, three-member board that has run the federal corporation since its New Deal creation in the 1930s.

Of the new board members, only DePriest has utility experience. He is past chairman of the Columbus Utilities Commission. All are considered successful business people, civic-minded and active contributors to Republican candidates and causes.

The six will start work only one day before TVA's second electric rate increase of the year takes effect on April 1 — a 9.95% hike that will generate $276 million to offset rising fuel costs for TVA's power plants.

TVA supplies electricity to 8.5 million consumers in Tennessee and parts of Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, Georgia, Virginia and North Carolina.

The agency also has an economic development component and responsibilities for oversight of resource management, flood control, recreation and navigation for the 652-mile Tennessee River system.

Board members will get a substantial pay cut under the restructuring. Part-time board members will get $45,000 annually; committee chairmen, $46,000, and the board chairman, $50,000, plus travel expenses for all of them. Under the full-time board, the chairman received $145,600 and the two other members $136,900 each.

said - at least I know I didn't say - that there was a direct connection
between Sept. 11 and Saddam Hussein."
                                      Really?
So when he said in his May 1, 2003, "Mission Accomplished" speech on the
deck of the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln that "we have removed an
ally of al Qaeda," he meant a different gang with the same name as the
one blamed for the attack on the World Trade Center twin towers and
Pentagon? It is his way of finessing the firm conclusion of the
bipartisan Sept. 11 commission that Hussein was an opponent of al Qaeda
and never an ally. Yet that didn't stop Bush from again on Monday
insisting that "the central front on the war on terror is Iraq."
                                      Meanwhile,
that old "central front," wooly Afghanistan, is now all sewed up, Bush
reassures. "Twenty-five million people are now free, and Afghanistan is
no longer a safe haven for the terrorists." Apparently the president
missed the director of the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency, Gen.
Michael Maples, giving testimony to Congress a few weeks ago that
Taliban resurgence now presents "a greater threat to the Afghan central
government's expansion of authority than at any point since late 2001."
                                      To
be sure, occupied Iraq is useful to al Qaeda and its ilk - as a
recruiting poster. In this and myriad other ways, the United States
military's continued heavy-handed presence in Iraq strengthens the hands
of extremists and demagogues who can appeal to latent Iraqi nationalism
and Muslim pride. Yet we seem to have forgotten that terrorists don't
really need Iraq as "a safe haven for terrorists to plot new attacks
against our nation," as Bush put it - they are just as likely to be
drawn from countries that are nominally our allies, such as the 15
hijackers recruited under the noses of the Bush family's sheikh friends
in Saudi Arabia.
                                      Finally,
for old times sake, Bush trotted out his now hoary excuses for those
missing Iraqi WMD he so trumped up to get us psyched for a "pre-emptive"
war three years ago, again blaming the deception on everyone except
himself. "Like you, I asked that very same question, 'Where did we go
wrong on intelligence?'." he plaintively responded to his questioner.
"The truth of the matter is that the whole world thought that Saddam
Hussein had weapons of mass destruction."
                                      Not
so, most of the world thought it best to wait for the U.N. inspectors,
then on the ground in Iraq, to complete their work before answering that
question. Those inspectors had found no such evidence of WMD and this
president knew full well that would likely be their final conclusion
when he ordered the pre-emptive invasion. Yet he justified it by
referring to the Sept. 11, 2001, attack warning, "We cannot wait for the
final proof - the smoking gun - that could come in the form of a
mushroom cloud."
                                      On
Tuesday, the Associated Press reported that a treasure trove of
translations of audio tapes of top-level Iraqi meetings involving
Hussein, released at the request of U.S. Rep. Peter Hoekstra, the
Republican chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, show that Iraq
destroyed its WMD program by 1992. Those tapes were obtained soon after
the 2003 invasion, yet the Bush administration kept them secret while
continuing to assert that Iraq had an active WMD program.
                                      As
opposed to ordinary people in this country and the world, Bush has
access to the same detailed information that the Sept. 11 commission
used to conclude that the terrorist acts of Sept. 11 and others
conducted by al Qaeda bore no relation to Iraq. It is hardly an
advertisement for American democracy that he has been able to operate
before the war and as recently as this week as if the truth will never
be allowed to hold him accountable - though not in Cleveland, which is
something to cheer about.

On that page it clearly notes that this "mysterious organization"
voted to list AJ as an "honorary member".

While I too might question Sheen's recent 911 activism, if DBSmith's
investigative abilities include accusing AJ of belonging to a
mysterious religious group simply on the grounds that they posted his
pic on a page where they say they voted to have him as an honorary
member, then I have more doubts about DBSmith than I do about AJ.

Thank you for your suggestion. It appears that Harry Mobley is on a very deliberate character assassination mission. It appears to be very important to Harry Mobley and to the others involved in this effort--Tim White, "JS Bach," etc., that no one take my information seriously.

I am involved in constructing a detailed reply to the Horspool allegations. I took time off to go to court this morning to file another TRO--this time against Horspool. His statements in the letter to Joe Ludi --that I made death threats and he was reporting me to the police -- have no substantion in reality whatsoever.

This is libel.

Attorney J. David Horspool is a very interesting character. He has a "soylent green" operation running out in the Inland Empire--he turns rich old people into money--his money. This situation he involved himself in with my mother is one of the most horrific, law-bending tales imaginable. And it has some very worrisome political implications....

Horspool has quite a bit to be worried about at this point in time. His client, Melodie Scott, who is the trustee to my trust fund, was reamed on the front page of the Los Angeles Times several months ago--and pretty much exposed as a character-less thief.

Most of Melodie Scott's clientele die very quickly under her care. And, I discovered, truly dreadful things have happened to those who come up against her.

These people are "hooked up." And I mean "Bush hooked-up." I have the documents to support my contentions and will be posting this to the groups in the next day or two.

What have the chinese to do with this ??

According to the evidence I've got (These are not proofs like laws of the
physics but it's worth considering it), it was about 80 % the CIA and 15%
the Mossad. (probably the MI6 and the ISI were involved also)

From the evidence I've got, it's clear that it was a covert operation done
by intelligence agencies.

Such a huge covert operation could not have been done by some private group.
This seems to completely exclude organizations like mafias, triads.

And I really don't see how the chinese govnerment would benefit from 9/11.
9/11 could in the contrary be used as a pretext to impose protectionist
tarifs on chinese goods disguised as "anti-terrorism" and "national
security".

Watch the fudge, here, Holmgren. Eastman made it clear that he is arguing against your proposition that "no plane" hit the South Tower. That is what you and Grable have been arguing. We are talking about New York City, New Jersey and all the ships in the Harbor -- many of them viewing from a distance. All one needs to see is the plane approaching the buildings -- if as it is getting closer and closer it disappears behind the building and a large explosion from that vicinity immediately follows -- and we see no plane fly away -- then that is good enough for me and it is good enough for any unbiased intelligent person looking at the question. Over a range of angles and distances both buildings were visible so that someone could be looking at the buring north tower with the south tower in site and the sky environing both buildings.

You call that "deconstruction"? I call it stupidity. If I am looking at the twin towers from Brooklyn because the North Tower is burning, I am going to see both towers and it would be very difficult to miss a jetliner flying to and crashing into the South Tower. "Negligible" my ass!

People have many good reasons for filming from a distance -- as when at a distance is where they happen to be. People could have cameras at their homes or in offices in tall skyscrapers facing the WTC. I'm talking about scenes like this:

Once again, yes they would. They would be taking shots that included both buildings from angles where they could see the smoke pouring from North Tower and also see the other tower and some of the sky behing it. My point remains undemolished: perpetrators of a "no planes" scenario could not know in advance that there would not be 10 or 20 or 50 cameras trained on both towers that would see the second plane strike -- not to mention the hundreds or thousands or even millions of eyes focused on the buildings. They would not have risked that must "contradiction" -- they had to have used planes.

9/11 Truth activists have been showing up in Eliot Spitzer's path lately. On Sunday March 11th 3 activists attended a swanky public reception for Eliot Spitzer and supporters of his candidacy for governor. Sander Hicks, author of The Big Wedding and candidate for Senate on the Green ticket, stood up and popped the question "Mr. Spitzer, why have you not opened an independent investigation into the events of September 11, 2001?" Many clueless Dems in the crowd got very agitated, but Sander persisted. Spitzer got off the hook by saying Sander should respect the crowd's wishes and told him to call his office. He did and as of today calls were never returned.

What's the real issue here? In November of 2004, an independent inquiry into the events of 9/11 titled “Citizens’ Complaint & Petition” was submitted to Eliot Spitzer’s office. This document contained great detail about the glaring questions still unanswered and listed damages suffered by so many people. There were 100 signatures from prominent Americans such as Howard Zinn, Daniel Elsberg, Ralph Nader, John Gray, Ray McGovern, Media Benjamin, and Ed Asner. The Complaint also had 48 victims families as signatories. Spitzer's top prosecutor, William Casey personally received the document. However, this has been met with a deafening silence. No action was ever taken.

How could it be that Spitzer, who has won accolades for his successful legal actions against Wall St. financial institutions engaging in fraud, has acted to suppress information that would reveal what happened on 9/11 rather than bringing the full power of his office to investigate and expose every detail leading to the truth of what happened that horrific day?By what authority does he stand in the way of justice for 9/11? Why has he been silent about the removal of the steel debris, a crime committed when clean up crews were ordered to dispose of the evidence that should have been forensically tested for every possible cause that could have led to the collapse of the buildings. Why hasn't he investigated Larry Silverstein for the purpose of uncovering what had to amount to insurance fraud?
To call attention to these issues, yesterday 35 activists gathered in front of Spitzer's office with banners and signs for a public speakout to bring attention to his negligence and obstruction of justice. Thousands of passers-by saw us and over a thousand received literature, many of which gave the thumbs up and thanked us for being there.

We made such a scene that a representative from his office who was watching our action must have arranged to have us come into the building to hear our concerns. Then Casey himself appeared. We resubmitted the Complaint to Mr. Casey. However, this time we demanded that it be reviewed and given a docket number so that further action could be taken. Mr. Casey was non-commital and would only receive it from us. We also delivered an indictment drafted by attorney Carl Person, Green Party candidate for Attorney General. Casey couldn't wait to leave our presence.
Later in the afternoon we moved a few blocks down to Wall St. where we were joined by Attorney Phil Berg, author of a RICO lawsuit on behalf of 9/11 survivor Willie Rodriguez. We passed out a special flyer with details on the suspicious put options which indicated foreknowledge of the attacks from high placed sources and the fact that the trail was inadequately investigated.
Will New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer heed New Yorkers call for truth of the events of 9/11? Will any politician answer the call to truth and justice for the crimes of 9/11? Only if we continue to do our part, and that we must.

Mr. Nixon and Webfairy hold the same position on whether or not planes hit the twin towers -- they use the same arguments -- I state this, I do not "insinuate" it.

If I thought Mr. Nixon and Webfairy were fellow investigators/activists I would not oppose them. If I did not see their messages as intentionally false in order to discredit all 9-11 investigators I would certainly prefer to ignore them.

Furthermore, I believe you fail us all in not seeing them for what they are.

China's Military Planners Took Credit for 9/11

Soon after the horrific attacks on the World Trade Center and
Pentagon, two high-ranking Chinese military planners took credit for
the 9/11 attacks – and were even hailed as national heroes in China.

In fact, three years before 9/11, the Chinese colonels had proposed
the attacks and cited Osama bin Laden by name in their
book "Unrestricted Warfare." (Click Here for more info on book.)

The authors of "Unrestricted Warfare" are Senior Cols. Qiao Liang and
Wang Xiangsui, and in 1999 they wrote that an attack by bin Laden on
the World Trade Center would be just the type of "unrestricted
warfare" that could bring down America.

The book was published by China's People's Liberation Army and had
the endorsement of the Chinese government.

"Unrestricted Warfare" makes clear its purpose: offering China and
other "weak" countries a strategy to destroy the U.S. without a full-
scale invasion, using unusual or "asymmetrical" warfare.

NewsMax has recently obtained the CIA translation of this astounding
book and has made it available with an introduction by Al Santoli,
editor of the prestigious China Reform Monitor.

The importance of this book was highlighted soon after 9/11, when the
Chinese colonels were treated as national heroes.

In one interview with the Chinese government-owned Ta Kung Pao
newspaper in Hong Kong, the colonels offered little sympathy for the
Americans killed in 9/11.

They told the paper, "The series of attacks taking place in the
United States were very dreary and terrifying, but they must not be
viewed from a single perspective" – that is, the U.S. as victims. The
colonels then added coldly that the Americans "were victims of U.S.
foreign policy."

The colonels were quick to take credit for the attacks on the World
Trade Center, telling the paper their strategy had worked and
that "September 11, 2001 very likely is the beginning of the decline
of the United States, as a superpower."

Qiao and Wang offer in "Unrestricted Warfare" several new methods for
destroying the U.S. – from manipulating U.S. media, to homicide-
suicide bombing, to using immigrants as a fifth column, and even
employing cyber attacks to destroy America's critical infrastructure.

Both colonels agreed that the unconventional attacks of 9/11 were
right from the pages of their book, and they demonstrated their
theory works. "The attacks demonstrated the United States' fragility
and weakness and showed that essentially it is unable to stand
attacks. ... The United States, a giant tiger, has been dealing with
mice; unexpectedly, this time it was bitten by mice – it has been
wielding a large hammer but has been unable to find the flea.

"From a short-term perspective, the attacks in the United States will
very likely have some effect on China's economy – they might affect
China's economic growth. However, from a long-term viewpoint, they
could be favorable to China."

"Unrestricted Warfare" has set off alarm bells among several high-
ranking U.S. officers.

Adm. Thomas Moorer, former chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff,
warns, "'Unrestricted Warfare' reveals China's game plan in its
coming war with America." He adds ominously, "China thinks it can
destroy America by using these tactics."

Maj. Gen. John K. Singlaub, former chief of staff of U.S. Forces
Korea, shares Adm. Moorer's view.

"The 9/11 attacks may just be the beginning. Many terrorist nations
and groups will try to imitate this operation," Gen. Singlaub said,
noting "China's war book 'Unrestricted Warfare' will be their text."

Don't be disappointed -- it's only another angle (I didn't even see it yet) -- and your efforts are paying off. 9-11 truth is now mainstream conversation, thanks to you, and everyone like you that helped the movement over the years. Charlie Sheen wouldn't be speaking out today if we didn't make it safe for him to do so. He's only speaking out publically now because we put the doubt of the official story in everyone's mind, and made it socially acceptable to question these events.
