First up is John Gibson, who says that the 1/3 of Americans who believe in U.S. Government involvement in 9/11 do so because 'they hate Bush'. I'm kind of surprised his 'word' isn't 'because they hate our freedoms'.

This brief interview displays the breadth of Ahmed's encyclopedic knowledge of Western Intelligence operations, and Jones sticks with him, blow-for-blow. Exposed are the machinations of UK and US intelligence, and how these agencies facilitate radicals and patsies to acheive their ends. This interview fleshes out Ahmed's statement in The Hidden History of 9-11-2001 about Al-Qaeda;
"It has no existence as an independent concrete entity. It designates a highly developed category of Western covert operations designed to secure destabilization through the creation, multiplication, mobilization, and manipulation of disparate mujahideen groups. The evidence suggests that this was certainly the case on 9-11."

The data is being analyzed right now by folks who know about this kind of stuff. Already, the folks looking at it have found slopiness in the 9/11 Commission's findings regarding Flight 77 (though not very important so far) . The following email from Kyle Hence includes a good list of 10 questions which we should demand answers to. [Editor: We edited the numbering to make it more readable.]
Recent articles in corporate media examine deception and lying by the Department of Defense relative to the attacks of September 11th 2001. They shed light on an effective cover-up by the 9/11 Commission in its refusal to bring Government deception to the American people by way of their discredited 9/11 Report. Links to these articles follow as do 10 questions which these revelations and NORAD tapes beg to be asked and which must be answered . . . .
The real and problematic confusion and fog is one which is seemingly preventing the corporate media from grappling with any of the following pressing questions which have been advanced for years by the 9/11 families, advocates and independent researchers.
Here are Ten Questions that the corporate media have thus far refused to raise or attempt to answer in their examination of the NORAD tapes and related issues:
(1) Who was responsible for scheduling multiple war games and terror exercises involving aircraft for Sept. 11th?
(2) Who moved "Global Guardian" normally scheduled for October to September?
(3) Who designed the war games to involve 'hijackings'?
(4) Who planned and scheduled the movement of Airforce aircraft north to Canada, Alaska and Greenland?
(5) Who planned the terror exercise at the NRO involving an evacuation in response to threat from the air?
(6) Who was "hands-on" responsible for coordinating all the war games the morning of September 11th?
(7) Who would have been responsible for turning off the war games to enable a timely real world response to the attacks?
(8) How were as many as 21 false radar blips or possible targets (per Jane Garvey) inserted into FAA radar screens?
(9) Who was responsible for the identification of ghost flight 11 which allegedly continued to fly south past Manhattan and which may have caused NORAD's Langley intercept jets to vector North toward NYC rather than D.C.?
[NOTE: John Farmer of the 9/11 Commission said to me personally that the 9/11 Commission was never able to identify the individual for this information--to resolve this anomaly.]
(10) Why was there no reference to the pattern of 9/11 Commission cover-up including that of Able Danger as revealed by Capt. Scott Philpott?

The bottom line question that corporate media refuse to answer and which the 9/11 Commission ignored is who, specifically, would have been responsible for creating the circumstances that led to the confusion or fog the morning of 9/11 and who should have immediately ceased any and all war gaming activity and deceptive radar data?

Wisconsin State Representative Steve Nass has called for the University of Wisconsin to fire professor Kevin Barrett for his belief that 9/11 was an inside job, but hasn't looked at any of the facts concerning 9/11 for himself.
Texas pastor Toby Brown is attacking David Ray Griffin's newest book, "Christian Faith and the Truth Behind 9/11", but hasn't bothered to read it.
Okay, Listen up . . .
I am declaring August to be "National Reading Month". Everyone who still believes the official story about 9/11 -- but hasn't looked at the evidence for themselves -- has until the end of the month to get up to speed on the subject.
During National Reading Month, political, religious and other leaders cannot make any ill-informed, half-baked statements about 9/11 unless they include references to the facts cited by Professors Barrett and Griffin , and honestly explain what homework they still have to do and which facts they have not yet looked into.
After September 1, 2006, any leaders defending the official story will be given a failing grade.
Reading the cliffnotes summary will not be allowed. And "the dog ate my homework" is not an acceptable excuse.

A book published by the denominational press of the Presbyterian Church (USA) poses provocative questions about Sept. 11 and has raised the hackles of church conservatives.
Westminster John Knox Press, a division of Presbyterian Publishing Corp., is printing 7,500 copies of "Christian Faith and the Truth Behind 9/11," according to Davis Perkins, the corporation's president and publisher. It was officially released during the second week of July, Perkins said.
The book is written by David Ray Griffin, a former professor of theology who has written two other books that posit a conspiratorial link between the U.S. government and the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
In the book Griffin argues that "the Bush administration planned the events of Sept. 11 so they could provide justification for going to war in Afghanistan and Iraq," according to an article on Christianity Today's Web site.

Thanks to FHB. Given the mihop versus lihop war that the new Norad revelations have stirred up, I've updated this essay. Norway's Le Monde Diplomatique continues its 9/11 investigation in the August, 2006 issue, "Was the FBI investigation blocked?" ("Ble FBI hindret i etterforskningen?")
...It appears that several agents and other FBI staff believed that opportunities for good police work and investigation were lost in the months before the 11th of September. This was what lawyer David Schippers, (also known for having brought a case against President Bill Clinton before the Court of Impeachment) experienced when he was contacted by several FBI agents who claimed that they knew about dates, targets, financial transactions and names of the perpetrators involved in the impending terrorist attacks. Schippers claims that armed with this information, he tried to warn John Ashcroft six weeks in advance that a terrorist attack would be launched in lower Manhattan. But the FBI threatened to sue their agents if they revealed what they knew. In order to allow the information to be publicised before a terrorist attack took place, the agents agreed with David Schippers that he would represent them in a federal courtroom, supported by Judicial Watch, an organisation offering free legal assistance. In this way they would have the opportunity to be heard if they were called as witnesses. That the agents were in possession of the type of information Schippers claims they were was also confirmed by William Norman Grigg in The New American . He interviewed three FBI agents who claimed that the information to which Schippers had access was common knowledge to the FBI before the 11th of September – and that everyone knew that it was simultaneously being ignored in Washington ...
Nothing new here, but it's undoubtedly brand new to a significant # of Norwegians.

SURVEY SHOCKER
August 3, 2006 -- More than one-third of Americans suspect federal officials assisted in the 9/11 terrorist attacks or took no action to stop them so the United States could go to war in the Middle East, according to a new poll.
The survey also found that 16 percent of Americans speculate that secretly planted explosives, not burning passenger jets, were the real reason the massive Twin Towers of the World Trade Center collapsed.
The national Scripps Howard/Ohio University poll of 1,010 adults also found that anger against the federal government is at record levels, with 54 percent saying they "personally are more angry" at the government than they used to be...

Randi Rhodes Interviews Paul Thompson - 2MB MP3 Here's my reaction to Tucker Carlson's statement that perhaps a new 9/11 investigation is needed.
The evidence is now so strong that the 9/11 Commission was a whitewash, that even imperial lapdog Tucker Carlson is saying we may need a new investigation. Sorry . . . but the time for investigation is OVER.
Why? Because investigations are routinely undertaken by government when an administration doesn't want to DO anything. "Let's do a study" is code for "let's delay as long as possible, and hope people get distracted and forget the need to actually do something".
"Uh, we'll get back to you after we study it for a couple more years."
Its like studying global warming indefinitely instead of doing something like signing the Kyoto Protocol or demanding better gas mileage (if you don't agree about man-made global warming, then ignore this example. But you still know the bureaucratic dynamic I'm talking about).
I demand action NOW, and I'm not going to get distracted as a new 9/11 "investigation" drags on for years.
In addition to the delay and distract type of investigation, there is also a long tradition and history of whitewash cover-up investigations, like the investigation into how the Pearl Harbor attack happened, and the Warren Commission's investigation into JFK's murder.
I refuse to play this game. I know that any new commission or panel will be made up of cover-up artists and hacks, just like the original 9/11 Commission.
The time for investigations and studies are long past. It is time for justice NOW against all of the planners and perpetrators of the 9/11 attacks (we won't accept a couple of low-level scapegoats or sacrificial lambs) .
I demand JUSTICE NOW. And I stand with many millions of Americans ( more than a third of the U.S. population).
So bring all of the 9/11 perps to justice now, or you will have the opportunity to investigate what hundreds of million angry Americans do when the People's will is ignored."
