20 miles from home.
5 and half hours into the ride home from mammoth (mammothmountain.com), checked the sky & the horizon and knew that the sunset would be nice. frantically began to search for suitable location to setup my tripod. 20 minutes later, found this spot just in time for a few shots.
i had driven almost 800 miles & shot a buch of photos (most were on the snow). at the end of the trip, i found myself returning to the same types of sunset scenes that i usually shoot. i guess i'm a sucker for pretty sunset photos :)
