Dear President Bush,

On Saturday, February 4th, 2006, thousands will gather outside of the White House, coming to tell you that the world cannot wait, that we do not accept either your assessment of the state of the union, or your plans for controlling our destiny through your conception of illegitimate "leadership." I am writing to let you know that I will regretfully be unable to attend this White House event.

I send my regrets as a mother of two young children, children who, while materially comfortable, must grow up in a world infinitely more dangerous, more fractured, more on the edge due to your actions.

I send my regrets on behalf of all mothers who stand against the lies and corruption that fuel our countries so-called spreadng of democracy, our opening of hearts and minds -- the mothers of the more than 2,000 Americans and tens of thousands of Iraqis that have died for your quest, the mothers who, when confronted by an American convoy in Iraq, hold their baby up to prevent attacks from the scared and stressed US soldiers waving weapons. That is the safety you have brought -- a deep-seated fear that lives on, that kills, if not directly then in spirit.

I send my regrets also on behalf of mothers of the 16,000 Iraqis imprisoned, many without charges, of those imprisoned in Guantanamo, and at each of the secret US-run and sponsored facilities around the world, those held without recourse to justice, those tortured in both body and mind.

I send my regrets as a citizen of your country, but more importantly as a member of the global community that is rising up to speak against your administration's policies, to stand against empire. As I read recently, "Every bomb released over Iraq explodes from Mobile to New Orleans," and as members of the world community we cannot fail to acknowledge these connections. My daughter asked me today when it will be that all the people in world will start to love each other. Perhaps this is the naive vision of a young child, or perhaps it is a question that we all need to take seriously as we do everything in our collective power to drive out your regime that does nothing but breed and perpetrate hatred, bigotry, and intolerance.

So, please understand that my absence on February 4th in no way speaks to an endorsement of you or your policies. My body will be working and caring for my children in California, tending to the day to day obligations that I cannot at this moment put aside. However, my spirit will be beating down your doors, infiltrating the White House grounds, flowing through the bodies and mouths of all who are able to come to Washington to let you know that we, the world, will not wait any longer.

A Look at U.S. Military Deaths in Iraq
By The Associated Press Thu Feb 2, 8:10 PM ET

As of Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at least 2,247 members of the U.S. military have died since the beginning of the Iraq war in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count. The figure includes six military civilians. At least 1758 died as a result of hostile action, according to the military's numbers.

The AP count matches the Defense Department's tally, last updated Thursday at 10 a.m. EST.

The British military has reported 100 deaths; Italy, 27; Ukraine, 18; Poland, 17; Bulgaria, 13; Spain, 11; Slovakia, three; Denmark, El Salvador, Estonia, Netherlands, Thailand, two each; Hungary, Kazakhstan, Latvia, one death each.

Since May 1, 2003, when President Bush declared that major combat operations in Iraq had ended, 2,108 U.S. military members have died, according to AP's count. That includes at least 1,644 deaths resulting from hostile action, according to the military's numbers.

Since the start of U.S. military operations in Iraq, 16,606 U.S. service members have been wounded, according to a Defense Department tally Tuesday.

The latest death reported by the military:

� Three soldiers were killed Wednesday when their vehicle was struck by a roadside bomb south of Baghdad.

� A soldier was killed Wednesday by small arms fire in southwestern Baghdad.

� A Marine was killed Wednesday by small arms fire near Fallujah.

The latest identifications reported by the military:

I hope this finds all well and in good spirit.

As a serious student and activist for more than 25 years I hope I can
offer something of value to this group.

I believe anyone who has "done the work" knows the U.S. government was,
at the very least, complicit in 9-11. And "we the sheople" are hoping
they will admit it publicly??

I see government as force and force is power. In all of recorded
history I have NEVER seen force/power relinquish just by
asking/petitioning.

Does it make any sense that government will this time?

In my studied/activist opinion.., 9-11 is merely a part of a global
scheme to forward the global agenda of the elite to create global
governance.

The links below offer information that ties it all together and then at
"THE PLAN" link, offers the ONLY solution out of this mess.

Of course you will need to decide for yourself. Should you decide to do
the work/study.., I would NOT recommend "skip reading" for each
sentence in each presentation builds/lays a foundation for the next,
offering fullest comprehension for the reader the first time through
[as it is recommended they be read more than once].

Clearly this group is being heavily bombarded with distractive,

Good point, Ron. We've been under attack for some time now, albeit very subtly. These guys are usually more subtle and clever. We need to keep going and know that the more attention we receive, the more resources that have been allocated towards this group because we are effective and are considered a threat to Empire.

It's like a symbol of honor. And when someone is blatantly trying to sabotage efforts? Moderators typically do just hit the Delete key, so not to worry - the ones who are obvious typically don't last too long.

It was cold and rainy, but at least a couple of blocks of people (some from as far away as Berkeley, CA and Chicago) came by the busload to the world can't wait drive out the bush regime march on DC today.

No, nothing was accomplished, per se, but it was great to be there to support all the young people in black, many doing street theatre and with some fantastic signs (see below) who were very earnest about removing the regime.

A few of the NYC 9/11 truth people were there and had their black and white sign that says "9/11 Was An Inside Job." That was the best part of the march.

Greg, I met Luke there from NYC and he said he will be helping out before 2/20.

Advocacy Group, Internet Host Charge 'Political Motivation' Behind
Filtering of Email by Country's Largest Net Services Provider!

The BRAD BLOG has learned that cable company and Internet service
provider, Comcast Corporation has been automatically deleting email
sent to Comcast customers with the text "www.afterdowningstreet.org" in
the body of the email.

----------

AfterDowningStreet.org ("ADS") is the citizen's coalition advocacy
group organized to raise awareness of the leaked British memos and
minutes referred to as the "Downing Street Documents". Those documents,
first reported by Michael Smith of the Sunday Times suggest that the
Bush Administration had determined to topple Saddam Hussein by military
means and planned to "fix" the facts and intelligence around the
policy" at least eight months prior to receiving authorization of the
U.S. Congress to wage war in Iraq. At the same time, George W. Bush and
administration officials were routinely telling both Congress and the
American people that no tactical decisions had yet been made regarding
regime change in Iraq.

(DISCLOSURE: The BRAD BLOG and an advocacy group co-founded by us,
VelvetRevolution.us are members of the ADS coalition.)

The discovery that email was being secretly filtered was made after an
investigation conducted by ADS co-founder, David Swanson who reported
that many coalition members did not seem to be receiving email alerts
and others messages being sent by the group.

"Over the past week we have been having problems reaching our members,"
Swanson said. "Yesterday we had a conference call scheduled that we'd
announced by email and two thirds of the people didn't even know about
it."

Eventually Swanson was able to determine that it was only those members
of the group who receive email via the cable monolith's Comcast.net
domain who were not receiving such notices.

According to a study released in January of this year by TNS Telecoms,
Comcast Corporation is the nation's largest single provider of both
Cable/Satellite and Internet related services in the country.

The BRAD BLOG has been able to independently confirm that email sent to
two different Comcast customers with the text
"www.afterdowningstreet.org" in the body of the mail, is not currently
reaching those customers as expected. Though messages with only
"afterdowningstreet.org" are, in fact, able to get through to those
same customers without a problem.

In a statement released by People-Link.org, the Internet host for the
AfterDowningStreet.org domain, the directors of the "progressive" firm
charge that the filtering is politically motivated and both they and
Swanson have requested people contact Comcast to complain. (Contact
information at the bottom of this article.)...

While it is not uncommon for Internet Service Providers, or ISP's, to
filter out messages sent to their users by domains which are known to
send large amounts of unrequested junkmail, or "spam", Comcast
acknowledged to Swanson that AfterDowningStreet.org was not on their
list of domains alleged to have sent such email.

Swanson spoke with two different employees in the Comcast Email Abuse
department, both of whom acknowleged to him that
"www.afterdowningstreet.org" seems to have ended up in the Comcast
email filter. He was able to receive no explanation from Comcast as to
why or how that could have occurred.

When The BRAD BLOG attempted to get a statement on the matter from the
Comcast Abuse Department Manager, Jim Janco, -- whom Swanson had
previously dealt with in the matter -- we were told that "company
policy" dictated he "can't engage with the press in any manner," but
that he would ask the Comcast PR Department to get back to us.

We received a call shortly afterwards from Jeanne Russo, corporate
spokesperson from the Comcast Online Division, who told us she was not
aware of the problem, but would get back to us after she was able to
look into it. That was several hours ago. As of this time, we have not
yet heard back from her.

In a series of emails, however, shared with The BRAD BLOG between
Swanson and another employee from the Comcast Abuse Department, the
employee confirms the existence of the problem.

Swanson had sent emails to two different email addresses of the
employee, one of which was a comcast.net address, the other at a
different service provider. Until Swanson removed the
"www.afterdowningstreet.org" from the body of the mail he was sending
as a test to the employee, his email was not received by the Comcast
employee at their Comcast.net address. The test email messages were
received without a problem at the two Comcast customers alternate
non-Comcast addresses.

Swanson had previously used "www.afterdowningstreet.org" as part of his
automatic email signature.

Another ADS coalition member, Tim Carpenter, explained how the problem
began and that he was personally unable to receive any information on
the problem from Comcast.

"I called Comcast and they never confirmed for me that there was a
problem with my email," Carpenter told us, "but starting Thursday,
about two hours after the bombings [in London], my email started
disappearing. It became clearer and clearer as the week when on that
something was going on."

Swanson says that he was told by Comcast's Janco earlier this afternoon
that Janco had identified the problem and that Comcast would be
attempting to correct it over the next several hours. However, several
other Comcast users have since confirmed that they have still be unable
to receive test messages sent by both Swanson and The BRAD BLOG as of
this hour.

Swanson says he was told that "there were spam complaints and that
content filters automatically blocked the content of our URL, but that
[Comcast] looked into it and know that we don't spam."

When he asked why Comcast hadn't looked into the matter before adding
ADS to their spam filter, Swanson says he was told "Because it's
automatic."

When he asked why ADS was not informed about the matter when it
occured, the answer was the same, "Because it's automatic," said
Swanson.

Alfredo Lopez, a director of People-Link.org, the Internet Service
Provider which hosts the AfterDowningStreet.org domain and website, was
able to confirm that Swanson's email left the People-Link mail servers
correctly but did not reach their Comcast destinations.

"We do know that all of the email about which [Swanson's] talking was
mailed out from the server, and we do know that people on Comcast were
not receiving it. That much we know," said Lopez.

He said that People-Link, who identify themselves as "part of the
progressive Internet movement" received no notice from Comcast about
the apparent filtering.

"That is typical of a very serious spam block," Lopez said today,
"because they don't want to tip off the spammer that they've been
blocked."

A statement given to The BRAD BLOG by People-Link's directors suggests
that there is a political motivation behind this matter. Their
statement charges that Comcast is blocking "constitutionally protected
expression and the fundamental right to organize and act politically on
issues of concern."

Their statement goes on to say that:

Many of us in the progressive Internet movement have long been warning
about the intrusive, arrogant, disruptive, inconsiderate and
effectively reactionary "access blocking" measures being taken by large
Internet service providers. They take many forms and we have argued
that, in the end, they lead to the same future: providers blocking
access because of its content.

That future, apparently, has arrived and it is essential that everyone
interested in free speech and a free Internet call or email Comcast to
let it know how we feel and to warn it not to do this again.

UPDATE: Just in via Email from David Swanson:

The manager of Comcast's abuse, Jim Janco department now claims that
they have a contract with Bright Mail (part of Symantec)and that Bright
Mail controls the filter and refuses to lift the blog (claiming to have
received 46,000 spam messages with the ADS url in them; but refusing to
show us a single such message). Bright Mail also serves OTHER large
ISPs, not just Comcast. According to this same person, we can complain
to Bright Mail at investigation@review.symantec.com or
comabsfeedback@feedback-15.brightmail.com

UPDATE 6:26pm PT: After our original report here, followed by a series
of phone calls to Symantec's west coast corporate office, Bob Fertik of
Democrats.com (a founding member of the ADS coaltion), was able to get
confirmation that Symantec had finally unblocked
"www.afterdowningstreet.com" from their automated filter!

The official line from Symantec, as Fertik reported it to us, was that
the Bright Mail filter is completely automated, and due to the
increasing appearance of "www.afterdowningstreet.org" in email, their
automated filter kicked in. We were not able to confirm any of that
with Symantec as their offices had already closed for the weekend by
the time we were able to call. So we also were unable to get any
additional information on what actually triggers their filtering system
and what, if any, human intervention takes place.

The BRAD BLOG can now confirm, however, that email containing that text
is once again flowing to Comcast.net customers! Good work to those of
you who contacted both Comcast and Symantec in a hurry today!

Since the problem now seems to be fixed, we have removed the Comcast
contact addresses and phone numbers from this item.

We have had scattered reports of the problem occuring on other Internet
Service Providers as well, but have been unable to confirm those
reports as of yet. Stay tuned to BRAD BLOG where we'll keep you updated

And yes, Benjamin, you are right. We can do this. But not with negativity. We need every ounce of forward motion we can get.

I believe that this action has not nearly gotten around to the entire nation, where it truly needs to be.

The individuals behind this are sincere and serious about this action, and they want all the criminals responsible for 9/11 to be prosecuted for treason.

There is a huge effort for impeachment underfoot, but this treason prosecution act with regard to 9/11 is another matter that has to do with prosecuting actual crimes in a court of law.

Some of us are working on getting more signatures because if ever there will be a Congress person brave enough to sponsor this legislation? It will first be necessary to demonstrate a huge outpouring of public support.

I have sent this around to dozens of groups. Hoping some of you will do the same, particularly to those on other groups (besides yahoo groups). It needs to go around the US (make that the world) some more.

The entire world needs to read that these crimes were NOT committed by any Al Qaeda and this spells out the issue quite nicely.

Thanks to all of you in advance for promoting it as far and wide as you possibly can.

In my opinion Marcus has done an even better illustration with two
still frames side by side, one of a Naudet frame with American Airforce
Blob 11 in it, the other the SAME frame but with JUST THE FLYING
OBJECT changed, to a 767.

Webfairy understandably doesn't promote this, though, because it also
has wording (from Stefan Grossmann) which calls the Blob consistent with
a small plane.

Americans are working as hard as ever, but their paychecks aren't
keeping pace with rising inflation. That means trouble for their
pocketbooks - and for an economy that's fueled by their spending.

Indeed, after two years of a "jobless recovery" following the 2001
recession, the US economy now faces something equally unsettling: a
"wageless recovery."

Several government reports this week tell the story. For the first year
since the Great Depression, the personal savings rate went negative in
2005. Pay and benefits, meanwhile, rose just 3.1 percent last year -
the lowest rate since 1996 and not enough to outpace a 3.4 percent jump
in the consumer price index. Is there any relief in sight?

None came Thursday, as the government reported a decline in worker
productivity for the closing months of last year, a trend that could
limit future wage growth.

The outlook isn't all discouraging, but a four-year-old economic
expansion is clearly struggling to maintain its momentum. The reason:
Americans are being squeezed from both sides of the household ledger.
On the income side, wage growth has been historically low for a period
of economic recovery. On the spending side, energy prices and interest
rates are higher.

Meanwhile, home-equity loans are no longer an easy way out. Soaring
property values that turned many houses into two-story ATM machines
appear to be flattening out or even falling.

"If the housing market softens ... American consumers will then have
little choice other than to bring spending and saving back into more
prudent alignment with income," said Stephen Roach, a Morgan Stanley
economist, in a recent analysis. "The combination of a relatively
jobless and wageless recovery puts tremendous pressure on American
households."

Economists aren't expecting a recession. But since consumers account
for more than two-thirds of the nation's economic output, the health of
American wage earners is a central question mark hanging over this
year's economy.

Other parts of the economy may help pick up the slack. With the world
economy expanding, exports should contribute solidly to gross domestic
product (GDP). And many economists expect to see businesses invest more
of their record profits in new equipment and facilities. That, in turn,
could mean more jobs and paychecks. Forecasters generally expect strong
economic growth in the first few months of this year, after hurricanes
and slower consumer spending dragged down GDP growth to a 1 percent
annual pace for the last three months of 2005.

Indeed, the Federal Reserve remains more concerned about possible
inflationary pressures than about economic growth falling below a
normal pace of about 3 percent. Earlier this week, the Fed moved to
constrain those pressures for the 14th time since June 2004, bringing
its short-term interest rate to 4.5 percent. Another rate hike is
considered likely in March.

Thursday's productivity report did little to assuage concerns about
inflation. For years, unexpectedly strong gains in output per hour - a
productivity bonus - helped the economy grow without upward pressure on
prices.

By becoming more efficient, companies have more cash flowing to their
bottom line. Productivity can accelerate economic growth and raise
living standards. In the current expansion, it has created record
corporate profits. But a lower than normal amount has gone into pay
raises. And now, the pace of improving efficiency appears to be slowing
down, at least temporarily.

The productivity rate actually fell for the fourth quarter of 2005.
Meanwhile, the cost of labor per unit of output rose by 2.4 percent for
the year, up from 1.1 percent in 2004.

Fed policymakers could take that as a sign of inflationary wage
pressures starting to build. They would rather see wage hikes matched
by productivity gains.

Ken Goldstein, an economist at the Conference Board, a business
research group based in New York, sees the current trend as a pullback
of productivity to a more typical pace.

"We can't be above average all the time," he says. But the slower
productivity growth means it will be hard for wages to rise this year
faster than inflation.

"Somebody's going to get squeezed here in 2006," Goldstein says,
referring to workers and businesses. "It's possible they could both be
squeezed."

Not everyone in the economy is feeling that pinch. Many sectors are
expanding.

"Things are starting to pick up," says Andrew Van Tassle, who works at
Message Level, high-tech firm in Boston that provides e-mail security.
He says he hopes to see a pay raise this year, as the start-up wins
more customers.

After a slow patch in 2002 and 2003, the economy is creating about 2
million jobs a year. Meanwhile, global competition seems to be holding
a lid on wages. Even as the unemployment rate has fallen to 4.9
percent, salary hikes haven't been as robust as in tight labor markets
of the past.

Along with rising energy prices, these factors help explain why
America's personal savings totalled negative 0.5 percent of income last
year. It's a sign of thinner wallets, but it doesn't necessarily mean
that Americans have stopped funding their 401(k) plans.

The rate compares broad measures of disposable income and spending. But
on the income side, it fails to factor in pensions and capital gains.
When those are included, says economist Ed Yardeni of Oak Associates,
an investment firm in Akron, Ohio, the idea that Americans are living
beyond their means is "more of a forecast than it is a reality."

According to Federal Reserve data, American households had a total net
worth of about $51 trillion as of last fall. That's up from $40.7
trillion in 2001. The median family net worth - assets minus
liabilities - has risen from $61,300 in 1992 to $86,100 in 2001.

He has now to be quized about his opinion "11" was a 747 when the public have been told it was a 767. He is emphazing the big and small [consistant with the first reports] He must look at it now in relation to big and big. It seems that the most import aspect to him is the size issue and not so much the official story. It's very odd.

I think I have some such footage, from the TV movie about Giuliani
starring James Woods, which I believe is called _Rudy: The Rudy
Giuliani Story_. I Tivo'd it, unfortunately only on "Medium
Quality" resolution, and have made one or two VHS copies. I
check periodically for reruns so I can re-Tivo it for "Best
Quality" resolution.

Mostly the new footage in the Woods movie is from a block or two away,
some very similar to the location of the Cheney 2nd Hit footage IMO. But
I'm pretty sure at least one clip is even closer, from the plaza. I don't
see any "jumpers" or "plane parts." But in one of the "Cheney-like" clips
I think I've spotted one more Whatzit, a bobbing black-orb type between
the Towers.

Also there is what I would call a plaza clip from 9/11 in the apparently
legit (unlike Naudet) documentary on the FDNY rebuilding their football team.
I taped that too. No plane parts or jumpers there either, though.

Common sense would say that large jets do not respond like fighter
jets and such an extreme banking maneuver would take some time to take
effect.

IS this additional proof of a virtual plane?

(5) Recently declassified documents show that in the 1960's, the American Joint Chiefs of Staff signed off on a plan to blow up AMERICAN airplanes (using an elaborate plan involving the switching of airplanes), and also to commit terrorist acts on American soil, and then to blame it on the Cubans in order to justify an invasion of Cuba. This plan is only one of a series of plans created over hundreds of years by governments around the world to garner support for their military agendas and their power at home by sponsoring terrorism and then blaming it on others. Regarding your editorial on the Internet data-mining operation Able Danger and the Clinton administration's inability to get that information from Defense intelligence to the CIA and the FBI, I have some additional questions (" 'Able Danger': Let's find the truth," Jan. 26 and TribLIVE.com):
Why, if this "mistake" lies in the hands of the Clinton administration, is the Bush administration the one trying to destroy the career of Lt. Col. Anthony Shaffer, one of the men involved with the mission, who is trying to get the story out?
Dig deeper and you will find that his reputation has been "smeared" under the current administration. It makes no sense to me except that the Bush administration also had this information on Mohammed Atta and his cell of terrorists for nine months before 9/11 and did nothing about it.
I guess that's why the Defense Department spent $400,000 of taxpayer's money (according to Pennsylvania Republican Congressman Curt Weldon) to destroy the career of this honorable man and soldier (Shaffer).
And while you're digging, try to find out what happened to the important files on Able Danger that Shaffer personally put in a secure storage area in 2003 (during the Bush administration) but that have now gone missing.

Three former executives at Berkshire Hathaway's General Re insurance unit and a former American International Group executive have been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of fraud and conspiracy, the Justice Department announced Thursday.

The indictment was returned Wednesday by a grand jury in Norfolk, Va., charging the former executives with conspiring to make AIG's finances appear better than they were.

Those charged are: Ronald Ferguson, who was General Re's chief executive; Elizabeth Monrad, the former chief financial officer; Robert Graham, the company's former assistant general counsel; and Christian Milton, who ran AIG's reinsurance division.

The defendants put together a sham reinsurance transaction that allowed AIG to fraudulently report about $500 million in loss reserves "to mislead AIG's shareholders, stock market analysts and the investing public," the indictment said. The conspiracy was designed to make it appear AIG's loss reserves were growing in order to pump up the price of AIG stock, according to the indictment.

A BYU physics professor speaking on Wednesday night implied a government cover-up of what really happened on Sept. 11, 2001, and cast doubt on the blame placed on Osama bin Laden.

Professor Steven E. Jones suggested before the attacks the Bush administration was seeking a way to increase military spending and invade Iraq. The ensuing attacks on Iraq and Afghanistan have created most of Muslims' disdain for America, he said.

He spoke at Utah Valley State College to a packed lecture room, and by video to adjacent overflow rooms, sponsored by the Center for the Study of Ethics.

Center director David Keller said, "The collapse of the World Trade Center buildings illustrates a strange convergence of physics, engineering, ethics and politics."

Jones is a member of Scholars for 9/11 Truth, a group of academics who dispute the government's account of 9/11, and has contributed to a yet-unpublished book about the issue.

Although official government explanations of why Building Seven fell seven hours after the second tower fell cite fire that melted the steel, Jones said the fire was not hot enough. The way the building fell also was not compatible with the theory, he said, and is more telling of an explosion.

"It's looking impossible to me as I look at these calculations that the official explanation could be correct. It violates the laws of physics," he said.

Instead, he said he suspects a thermite detonation from inside the building, possibly in the elevator shafts. But Jones said the steel is being disassembled and sent to Asia for recycling. While "pathological science," or destroying evidence that does not support a theory, is an offense on its own, "In this case we can call it unethical because it was a crime scene," he said.

A video tape purported to show bin Laden confessing to masterminding the attacks was a fake, Jones said, and other tapes in which bin Laden denied involvement were more likely authentic.

"They have this 'smoking gun confession tape,' but it's not him," he said.

Jones asked why fighter jets did not intercept the planes that hit the World Trade Center and Pentagon.

"Where were our defenses that day? This concerns me deeply," he said.

He was suspicious about why there was no paper trail showing how the attacks were planned, and asked why the government had not acknowledged finding three of four black boxes from the hijacked airplanes.

There is evidence the government had previous knowledge of the attacks, he said, citing changes in government employee travel plans because of security concerns.

After the second tower was hit, President George Bush sat for about 20 minutes in the classroom where he was reading to children after hearing about the attacks.

Jones asked where Bush's security officers were. "This is puzzling and disturbing in the sense it's not explained. I don't see how it can be explained unless they knew beforehand."

He also complained of more recent infractions of the Bush administration.

"We need to get back to the Constitution in law. No one should break the law with impunity," Jones said.

He cited Bush's authorization of warrantless wiretapping by the National Security Agency.

"I'm wondering, 'Why not do it legally?' The law allows this. Who's being spied on?" Jones asked. He also was troubled by the U.S. torture policy and widening executive powers, and set his sites on the dangers of pre-emptive wars.

"I think we need to question wars of aggression. I have noticed there's a sword rattling relative to Iran lately," Jones said.

After a standing ovation, Jones took questions from the audience. Jerry Owens of Midway, who heads a group called 9/11 Truth Seekers, called Jones a true American hero.

"He's putting his life on the line," Owens said. "It's time for all of us to be patriots. We have to put our lives on the line, and now is the time."

The group is circulating a petition for a 9/11 investigation headed by a citizens committee, Owens said. "This is the smoking gun where we can prove what our government's doing."

Chris Newman, a sophomore multimedia communications major at UVSC who signed the petition, is making a documentary about a possible 9/11 conspiracy.
