The Dick Cheney shooting "accident" is now well into its second week of news domination - its time to ask the question, WHY?
As we have exposed over the past week, the official line on the incident is obviously flawed and multiple mysteries and discrepancies still surround the event. This, In addition to the underlying stupidity of it that continues to provide a hotbed of golden material for satirists, has ensured that the story has stuck around the front pages.
The multiple delays in releasing certain information to the media, and the too-obvious inconsistencies and easily visible cover ups within the entire tale smack of a staged managed government propaganda operation.
This op is multi-layered. On one level it distracts the satirical crowd (John Stewart et al) and the American public who still pay any attention to the news.
On another level it has distracted the mainstream media, that now seems to be fascinated with the fact that they are being openly manipulated and controlled into reporting what the Straussian usurpers in Government want them to report, whilst playing directly into their hands and completely ignoring the reality of the Cheney shooting, the smoking gun if you'll pardon the pun.
And on a third level the incident has also distracted the alternative media who have become embroiled in a struggle to reveal the blatant inconsistencies of the whole thing. Whenever something like this happens we tend to go to autopilot and search for the truth because we now know that 99% of what the government tells us about current events is pure pap.
So over the past week we have relentlessly exposed the blatant lies behind this latest incident, and rightly so. After all someone has to.
But let's take a look at some of the things that have more or less washed over us recently. Once we do it quickly becomes clear that if ever the government needed a pointless distraction, it has been over the past ten days.
FAKE TERROR PLOT
The major story just as the Cheney shooting broke was the fact that the latest NeoCon war on terror justification evidence was being declared as total lies by expert after expert.
Bush had announced that four Southeast Asians who met with Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan in October 2001 were foiled in their attempts to use shoe bombs to blow open a cockpit door and steer a plane into the Library Tower in LA. Fox news immediately began to air footage of the same building being blown up by aliens in the film Independence Day.
The mainstream media was picking up on this (after everyone else as per usual) and running with it. Suddenly CHENEY SHOOTS MAN IN FACE.
ARMY BEATING UP IRAQI CHILDREN
On the same day as the shooting story broke, Details emerged of a shocking video revealed scores of British soldiers brutally beating and kicking defenceless Iraqi teenagers in an army compound.
The video dated back to 2004 and documented how the children had been throwing stones at the soldiers and were then chased down by scores of British troops, rounded up and beaten to a pulp. Outrage ensued and the front pages were uniform in their cries for action on the matter. Suddenly CHENEY SHOOTS MAN IN FACE.
UN REPORT CALLS FOR IMMEDIATE CLOSURE OF GITMO
On the 13th, a United Nations inquiry called for the immediate closure of the Guantanamo Bay detention centre and the prosecution of officers and politicians "up to the highest level" who are accused of torturing detainees.
The report demanded that the Bush administration ensure that all allegations of torture are investigated by US criminal courts, and that "all perpetrators up to the highest level of military and political command are brought to justice".
This was kept off the front pages as CHENEY SHOOTS MAN IN FACE.
MORE ABU GHRAIB TORTURE PHOTOS LEAKED
On the 15th of Feb, an Australian network broadcast about 60 previously unpublished photographs that the US Government had been fighting to keep secret in a court case with the American Civil Liberties Union.
A leaked report from the US army's internal investigation into the scandal quickly followed and revealed the full extent of the horrific torture policies in place there. It said the material, gathered by the army's criminal investigation division, included 1,325 photographs and 93 video clips of suspected abuse of detainees, 546 photographs of suspected dead Iraqi detainees, as well as 660 images of adult pornography, and 29 pictures of US troops engaged in simulated sex acts.
This was kept off the front pages due to the fact that CHENEY SHOOTS MAN IN FACE.
PATRIOT ACT HEADED FOR PERMANENT RENEWAL
"The outcome here is absolutely predetermined," Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn., said late Wednesday. "It's going to pass with overwhelming support."
The USA Patriot Act is headed toward renewal with most of its onerous individual rights violations intact and broad Senate support for a White House-brokered compromise that adds a few token new civil liberties protections to the terror-fighting law. Wrote Capitol Hill Blue.
The police state control grid is being put in place and everyone is more concerned with the fact that CHENEY SHOOTS MAN IN FACE.
$8.8 MILLION OF IRAQ RECONSTRUCTION FUNDS "MISSING"
Perhaps the most telling story we have been distracted from is this one. ON THE VERY SAME DAY as the Cheney shot Whittington story, CBS's 60 Minutes aired a report in which US expert Steward Bowen, who is auditing funds financing Iraq reconstruction programs announced that around $8.8 million had simply vanished.
Wide spread war profiteering is going on, the main culprit being Halliburton who have have collected half of all the money awarded to contractors in Iraq, and, according to Department of Defense auditors, have over-billed taxpayers more than a billion dollars.
In 2003, the Pentagon set up the Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) to govern Iraq under Ambassador Paul Bremer, who hired private companies to secure and rebuild the country. No bid contracts.
Frank Willis, who was the No. 2 man at the Coalition Provisional Authority�s Ministry of Transportation was quoted in the CBS report:
"I think that what they were doing was of the nature of what I understand war-profiteering to be about � which is to get into a chaotic situation and milk every penny out of it you can, as fast as you can, before the opportunity goes away,"
Of course, we know that Dick Cheney is deeply involved with Halliburton, once the CEO and still profiting from their "success" with over $40 million in stocks. So wasn't it a coincidence that on the eve of this major report he SHOT A MAN IN THE FACE.
Are these things not vitally more important to focus on than the fact that Dick Cheney got drunk and peppered an elderly man with pellets?
Clearly the perpetuation of the story and the slow leak of information to the press is being staged managed at the highest levels.
Yes it is our job to expose the incident as a fraud, but let's not forget WHY it is a fraud and WHY they are perpetrating the fraud.

I've given a lot of space here - some say too much - to Aleister Crowley, the occult and High Weirdness. I'm going to give some more now, because maybe it will help explain why.
The cipher, the Nine, the whole damn thing
In 1904 Crowley and his first wife, Rose, traveled to Egypt for their honeymoon. While visiting the King's Chamber of the Great Pyramid, Crowley recited the "preliminary invocation" of the Goetia: the occult ritual of "low magic" to bind demons to a sorcerer's will. When the two returned to their hotel room in Cairo, Rose entered a trance state and began murmuring "They are waiting for you," along with "similar urgent but unintelligible phrases" according to Robert Anton Wilson in Cosmic Triggers vol. I. Wilson continues:
Crowley did not like this at all, since it is typical of the uncontrolled, quasi-hysterical trances of spiritualist mediums (whom he despised) and lacked the elements of willed concentration and rational control that he demanded of his magick experiments. Nonetheless, despite his attempts to banish the phenomenon, it kept coming back, and finally, in one of Rose's trances, Crowley set a series of tests for the alleged communicating entity. He asked Rose, for instance, to describe the aura of the being, and she said "deep blue"; he asked the character of the being, and she said "force and fire"; he asked her to pick the being from drawings of ten Egyptian gods, and she picked Horus. She also identified Horus' planet (Mars), and so forth for a series of similar questions. Crowley then calculated the odds against her being right in all cases.... The chance of her guessing right on the whole series by chance was, mathematically, 1/21,168,000. [Crowley claimed that at this point, Rose was ignorant of both Egyptology and the occult.]
The next day Crowley took Rose to the Boulak Museum and asked her to identify the communicating intelligence from the collection of statues and art. She stopped at a stele depicting the goddess Nuit bending over a winged globe, the hawk-headed Horus and a temple priest. "This is the one," she said, pointing at Horus. The museum had catalogued the item no. 666, a detail not lost on Crowley. He decided he'd seen enough, and back at the hotel entered a light trance and over three days, beginning precisely at noon each day, "took dictation" from an entity named "Aiwass" of The Book of the Law, also known as Liber Al, the founding scripture of Thelema and the declaration of the Aeon of Horus, the "Crowned and Conquering Child."
Near the end of Crowley's manuscript appears a cipher: a page of text divided by a grid with a diagonal line running through it, and a "rosy cross" coincidentally evocative of the sign of the Zodiac Killer, who also communicated in cipher. The text addresses Crowley, telling him he would never be able to crack the code, but that one who was to follow him would.
It took a while, but the cipher was finally cracked in the mid-1970s, and The Book of the Law finally became the base text for Thelema's "English Qaballa": a system of decryption that assigns numerical values to words, following the principles of Gematria as applied to the Torah and the Midrash in the Hebrew Kabbalah.
Now, here's where it gets interesting.
Allen H Greenfield, a holder of high office in the Ordo Templi Orientis and affiliated with the Lovecraftian Green Abyss Lodge and the Esoteric Order of the Dragon, is also a veteran UFO researcher held in high regard by the never easily impressed James Moseley. As an "idle experiment," began applying to the cipher the bizarre names from UFO contactee events and trance channelling. (Recall the UFO phenomenon exploded in 1947, the year of Crowley's death.) What Greenfield found suggested non-human intelligences were using occult cipher to encode packets of meaning into seeming nonsense for high human initiates. Let's take, for instance, Indrid Cold: the name of the unearthly figure haunting West Virginia in the mid-60s during the Mothman flap. "Indrid Cold" has a numerical value of 112, which resolves in the "English Qaballa" to "We are one." Greenfield notes in his Secret Cipher of the UFOnauts that Keel, author of The Mothman Prophecies, writing before the cipher was broken and the value of Cold's name was discovered, observed that "We are one" was a "touchstone for a thousand New Age contact cults in the 1960s and 1970s."
(Greenfield doesn't mention "the Nine," the supposed Great Egyptian Ennead reconnecting with humanity through trance mediumships, but typical of their communications are declarations such as, "We are nine principles of the Universe, yet together we are one.")
Cold appeared occasionally with a companion named "Carl Ardo," which has a cipher value of 54. This is the Qaballistic equivalent of "Set" and "snake." Their alleged homeworld of "Lanulus" has the value of 58, which resolves to "Hawk's head," suggesting Horus. And 54 and 58 again equals 112: "We are one."
"Lam," Crowley's prototypical "grey alien" he was to sketch "from life" during a later occult working, has the value of 24, or "god"; Sirius = 85 = "of our Lady"; Philip K Dick's VALIS = 41 = "her" (or "Vast Active Living Intelligence System" = 515 = "I am life and the giver of life to every star"); George Adamski's "Orthon," a long-haired "space visitor" calling for peace on Earth, resolves to 68, which equals "Jesus"; and "Men in Black" = 142 = "They pass as shadows."
Greenfield doesn't suggesting that Lam is God, or Orthon is Jesus. Rather that the cipher "uses the name or keyword for those in the know to examine and find a curious correspondence, pointing the way to whatever the essence of the encounter is."

Imagine a dozen cartoons serving the same purpose as Pearl Harbor or Sarajevo, being the final straw that led the planet into world war. Now imagine the cartoons were a staged event, designed purposely to drag us into unimaginable violence. If that is the case, then those who foisted the plot on an unsuspecting world, would be guilty of super-mass-murder.
And what if the latest candidate for the Attila the Hun award goes to Daniel Pipes? That is precisely what is being claimed throughout the world wide web at this moment. Though you will not be happy with the sources and sites, read them seriously, no matter how much you've been trained to believe they must be lying.
The world is upside down. Israel's highest-level "friends and allies" are selling us down the river. And our "enemies" may yet become our allies when they realize that Israelis and Jews have been had.
I personally, am no defender of Islam. I consider it a culture of immense repression. I do, however, believe their sensitivities are being exploited with the goal of creating a world war. In this war, like the last, Jews will be on the front line and will be the biggest losers of all.
I have long proved that the Council On Foreign Relations (CFR) is intent on getting the war started. To do so, fear and resentment against Islam must be spread persuasively. For that purpose, they have chosen a leading member, Daniel Pipes.
Too many Jews have fallen for the enemy of my enemy line and believe by fomenting anti-Arab attacks that Daniel Pipes is their ally. In fact, his work has nothing whatsoever to do with defending Israel and a lot to do with involving her in the first line of a world war.
Pipes is not a "radical" advocate of Israel as his critics believe. He is, in fact, the worst kind of enemy of the Jewish state. It is about time that Israelis and her critics figured out the real game plan.
And Pipes, sadly, has a few allies working with him to incite Arabs into a frenzy through any means of deceit and deception. The pathetic deeds of his little Israeli adjunct are found at the end of this article.
Now you decide if, in this vast world, Pipes' direct ties to the Danish editor who first published the cartoons, are mere coincidence:

There's a conspiracy theory developing about myself and Flemming Rose, the Jyllands-Posten cultural editor who published the famous twelve cartoons of the Muslim prophet. I'll begin with the conspiracy theory (but without providing links or even quotes, as I don't want to send readers to these crackpot websites), and then provide the facts.
The conspiracy theory: Rose came to Philadelphia in October 2004 to see me and we developed a close bond. Then, as a result of this visit, Rose decided to publish the cartoons.
The facts: Rose visited me in my office on October 25, 2004, when he interviewed me for a feature piece on me that he published on October 29 in Jyllands-Posten. The resulting article, "Truslen fra islamismen," can be found on my website, as can a translation of it into English, "The Threat of Islamism." It was a standard interview in which Rose inquired about my views on a variety of questions pertaining to radical Islam. It contains, for example, my signature statement, translated into Danish: "Hvis militant islam er problemet, s� m� mods�tningen, moderat islam, v�re l�sningen." Flemming Rose and I have not written, spoken, or seen each other since that one meeting. "Because my friend just came from her house. The girl is hysterical. She has locked herself in her bedroom. She won't come out, she's screaming and wailing, her family is hysterical, their friends can't find a way to comfort them, can't get her to come out or to talk to anybody. She's screaming and won't come out.
Another girl was grabbed by two riot policemen who were shoving her into a paddywagon. One held her flat on her back at the edge of the paddywagon and held her legs spread open, and the other policeman rammed his club up her vagina so hard and so far that the whole club was inside of her, up to his fist.

At 21.00. show an interview with a young man by name Eliahu Levin.
Mr. Levin was standing on a roof of one of houses in Amona. When people of the army and police came up to clean the roof and began pushing and attacking those who stayed there, among them Levin noted one looking as Russian. Levin told him in Russian language:"Brother, we should be on the same side",
The man in Israeli uniform answered in a proper Russian: "I am not your brother, jidovsky morda (in slang - face)

I read it too. People were reading the name tags on the police uniforms and a lot of the names were Arab and Russian.

Quartet envoy James Wolfensohn is scheduled to go to the Persian Gulf later in the week to raise funds for the financially strapped Palestinian Authority, amid concern in some western capitals that if the money is not raised, Iran may step in and fund the PA to get a strong foothold in Gaza.

Which brings us to the Bronfmans' organization, the World Jewish Congress. Plaut's spoofing and spamming activities
Messages posted on 13 April 2004 to the ALEF electronic discussion forum (which is based at the University of Haifa) seem to indicate something about Plaut's mentality. These messages, which were posted to ALEF by somebody else and which seem to report on an email conversation that Plaut had with someone who was banned from the ALEF forum for excessive spamming, seem to indicate that Plaut boasted about stealing the ALEF membership list so that messages could be sent to ALEF members without being passed through the ALEF system. Specifically, Plaut seems to have written the following. The typographical errors appeared in the original:

He also seemed to be connected with somebody called Rocky who, pretending to be a pro-Zionism Palestinian living in the West Bank, used the pseudonym "Yusuf" to plague the ALEF list with racist emails until he was excluded from the forum. Look at Rocky's description to see how Rocky finally made a mistake which spilled the beans.

Rocky
Rocky, apparently a friend of Steven Plaut (certainly a fellow conspirator), is a Zionist idiot who harassed the ALEF electronic discussion forum for a period during the Autumn of 2004.
Rocky masqueraded as a pro-Zionist Palestinian Arab living in the West Bank, using the pseudonyms "Yusuf Abdullah" and "Yusuf Chouri" for this invented persona.
Unfortunately for himself and for Plaut, Rocky screwed up, as he confesses in the first email quoted below, which he sent to Plaut but which he accidentally copied to all the people named in the cc (carbon-copy distribution) list for the message. One of the recipients, Yael Korin, copied it to the ALEF forum. Rocky must have been very het up when he sent this email, because, when sending it, he repeated the same error that he admits in the email -- that is, he copied what was intended to be a private conspiratorial message to many of the people who were the intended victims of his conspiracy.
Incidentally, Rocky's repeated use of the acronym "BBC" below is incorrect -- it should be "BCC" or "bcc" (blind carbon-copy distribution). Coming on top of the fact that his attempted scam was based on the use of bcc distribution, Rocky's not knowing the correct name for the feature is is just one more indication of the fact that he is a schmuck. Dr. Plaut really should choose his fellow conspirators more carefully.
The emphasis on blind carbon-copy (bcc) is especially interesting because it is reminiscent of an instruction that Plaut had given a few months earlier: in April 2004, Plaut had boasted that he had stolen the ALEF emailing list and said that the best way to fool ALEF subscribers into believing that they were receiving messages from the ALEF server was to use bcc when sending out mass-mailings -- see the biographical entry for Plaut.
Anyhow, here is the email in which Rocky confesses his mistake to Steven Plaut. The typographical errors appeared in the original:

It just happened. I may have ****ed up royally. I just sent out my
first batch of "[ALEF] Get that monkey off my back" emails. My first
attempts at sending them as BBC all failed. I got the message "There
was a problem. Your BBC contains too many addresses." In the past I
was able to have up to 25 BBCs per each mailing. SO I reducedc it to
20... then 15... then a dozen and still got the error message. So I
transferred the addresses from BBC to CC and was able to send off all
25 of them.
Then it hit me! I forgot to remove YOUR name from the list so your
email went out with those first 25. I'm usually very careful about
things like that which is why I generally only use BBC. But my mind
is pre-occupied with so many other things that need to be done that I
got careless.
I havonly sent out those first 25 emails. I won't send out the
remainder. I hope this will not cause a problem.

I strongly suspect that my Hotmail account was sabotaged by Ran

The email just quoted was triggered by the fact that Ran HaCohen had complained to Microsoft about the use of a hotmail account, , to send the racist email quoted below to the ALEF forum. Microsoft disabled that account on 8 December 2004, because it violated the Hotmail Terms of Use. This upset Rocky, leading to the sequence of emails from Rocky to Plaut quoted above.
Two days before Rocky sent the sequence of emails quoted above, he had sent the following piece to his list of ALEF subscribers. This email, which was sent by Rocky using the pseudonym "Yusuf Abdullah", was prompted by the fact that, after repeated violations, his previous "Yusuf Chouri" persona had been excluded from the ALEF forum.

The email above, which reeks of racism, is a good example of the kind of stuff that Rocky, using the pseudonym "Yusuf Chouri", had been previously sending to the ALEF forum and for which he had been removed from the forum. Its use of the word "shvastse" (presumably a typo for "shvartse", Yiddisch for "black") is just yet another giveaway of that fact that, while he pretends to be a Palestinian Arab, he is basically someone whose English is laced with Yiddisch -- he would appear to be a Jewish American.

I visit The Jewish Press?s online edition virtually every day and I refer hundreds of people to your site and your excellent articles. I maintain a large e-mail list of people with interest in Israel.
Recently I sent around Steven Plaut's "Israel's Plague of Conspiracism" (front-page essay, Jan. 27) and got dozens of e-mails commending the article, Professor Plaut, and The Jewish Press for running it.
Controversy seems epidemic among Israel?s supporters and conspiracy theorists are dangerous because they obfuscate our real goals. Steven Plaut and Daniel Pipes perform a valuable service to our cause. Barry Chamish and his acolytes do serious damage.
