How to become a dictator

Attached is a photo from a Los Angeles Department of Water and Power blueprint, revealing the infamous "second line."

I had located another water work site in Los Angeles, in the area between Vermont and Western Avenues, and bordered by Wilshire and Adams. Creamer is the contractor on this section of the project. According to "Scott," one of the workers at this site, Creamer and Spinniello have divided up much of the contracts for this project.

Scott was operating the machine that was digging up the street. He is good-looking, forty-something, and wears a hard hat sporting the American flag with the 911 logo--"United We Stand."

I told Scott I was a reporter and was doing a story on infrastructure work. After chatting with him for a few minutes, I asked if I could see the blueprints for the project. He directed the other worker at this site to give me the blueprints, which were in the Creamer truck.

I sat down on the curb and started snapping pictures. In order to back up my work, I used both a traditional camera and my cell phone, which has photo, video and voice recording capabilities. The attached photo was taken by my cell phone.

I took some photos of the tee, as well. After a few minutes, Scott noticed I was snapping photos of the blueprints. He got off his perch and strode over to me.

"Look," he said uneasily. "I don't know who you are. We're in very strange times in this country. You could be a terrorist. And there is alot of concern about the terrorists contaminating the water supply."

I tucked my cameras in my purse and handed the prints back to Scott. "I don't want to make you uncomfortable," I told him. "Here, take the blueprints."

I had ten or twelve pictures at that time. I did not want my cameras taken from me.

And then I winked at him. "Actually," I said, " I am Osama bin Laden. They shrunk me and gave me a sex change, so no one would ever be able to find me. Pretty good work, huh?" I tried to smile, disarmingly.

He laughed, apparently with some de-fusion of tension. He then he told me that the resident engineer on this project, Ali Sabouni, had an office at La Cienega and Jefferson. He said that the blueprints were up on the wall , and I could look at them to my heart's content if I dropped by the office. I chatted with Scott a few more minutes, snapped some more photos of the tee, and told him I'd be back in a couple of days.

Monday morning I was over at La Cienega and Jefferson at 8:30 a.m. Sabouni's "office" is in a trailer at the DWP yard at the intersection. I knocked on his door, then stuck my head in.

I identified myself and asked if he had a few minutes to talk. He said he did . I then switched on my tape recorder.

Three times in two minutes, Ali Sabouni, stated "There is no such thing as a remote controlled water valve." When I told him that his on-site workers gave me another story, he said, "Well, you can choose who you want to believe--an engineer or a street worker."

Remote controlled water valves are produced by a variety of companies. Anyone spending five minutes in a google search can ascertain that. And according to an engineer at U.S. Pipe, which is one of the biggest suppliers of parts to Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and other water districts nationwide, that company has manufactured remote controlled water valves as well.

Sabouni then explained to me that one couldn't put wires around pipes and water without creating a hazard. I informed him that broad band power would take care of that problem. Sabouni denied any knowledge of broad band power.

Sabouni is obviously an immigrant, and given his name, appearance and inflection, appears to be of Middle Eastern descent. He refused to give me the name of his country of birth. He also refused to give me the name of the college or university which granted him his engineering degree, although both he and Human Resources at DWP assured me he was degreed.

Seriously, alot of Arabs really don't like Jews. As we enter the Fourth Reich, and with the taps of anti-semitism flowing freely again, I must wonder what Ali Sabouni's true feelings are about the impending Holocaust and the part he will play in it, as an engineer on a killing program.

Following the rather upsetting reversal of proferred hospitality by Joe Ludi, a patriot out in Texas has thankfully offered me sanctuary on his farm. I cannot continue on with my work under such grueling circumstances as living on the streets of HelL.A.

I am in the process of re-locating, and hopefully can garner enough safety to continue with my work in a less disruptive and dangerous environment.

Subject: New rule to stop the disruptors?

Hi everyone,

As you've all noticed, there have been a lot of divisive posts lately with people attacking others as Cointelpro, etc. And this can be very depressing and distracting. That's what they want. So don't let it get to you. Don't let them ruin this very important group. We can figure out a way to fix this problem.
Here's my suggestion:
NEW RULE. If you want to post something accusing another list member of being a spy or disruptor, you must first send it OFF-LIST to the moderators for approval. If you send it to the entire group, you will be warned. If you do it again, you will be removed.

In general, I've always said that I think it's a bad idea to launch spy/disruptor accusations on the list. Because then it just leads to more accusations and more disruption. The best way to handle someone you suspect is a disruptor is to a) ignore them, or b) express your disagreement with their arguments in a polite, respectful manner. I think if we can all agree to do this, we can keep the real disruptors from achieving their goal, which is to destroy the morale of this group.

You may recall that a few weeks ago I introduced a resolution of inquiry
to obtain Justice Department documents about the President's domestic
spying program.
Many of you are no doubt familiar with the
procedure for resolutions of inquiry; however, for those who are not, a
brief explanation.
A resolution of inquiry requests information or
documents from the Executive Branch. The Committee to which it is
referred must vote on it within a specified period of time or the full
House must consider it.
As a practical matter, if the
Republicans want to dodge an issue, they refer the bill to Committee and
then "adversely report" it, which kills it, stopping the request for
documents and protecting every non-Committee Republican from having to
vote on it.
Today, the House Judiciary Committee considered
my resolution of inquiry on the domestic spying program. The Resolution
was rejected 16 to 21, with all Democrats and one Republican
(Congressman Hostetler) voting for it. A few quick impressions: first,
I was surprised at how half hearted
the Republican defense of the program was. I would even go further --
while some offered a full throated defense of the program, many of my
Republican colleagues seemed almost sheepish about it, and many did not
speak about it at all. Second, Republicans repeatedly asserted that the
documents were not needed because Judiciary Chairman Sensenbrenner has
unilaterally submitted 51 questions (pdf) to the Attorney General, and
that the Attorney General would testify at a general oversight hearing
at some undetermined point in the future. I and the other Democratic
Members responded that this was wholly inadequate, and that to fulfill
their constitutional oversight role the
Committee needed to obtain documents from the Administration and

I think this will help.

Personally I like the no flaming rule. It works like this;

A flame is a derogatory remark, pointedly personal at a group member. Issues
are OK for flame the hell out of, people on the group, no way.

In one of my larger groups we have found that what drives people off fast,
are Flame wars, Spam, and the same article being posted repeatedly. Flame
wars cost a group of 600 members about 3 members a day for at least 3 days
after then flaming has stopped. That is, one day of flame wars can cost 10
members.

You can’t get the word out if the group members are now looking at the
negative side of being in the group.

If you want the cointel disinformation subversives agents here on this list,
as it has appeared to me, then post it on the home page so the new members
know what is up and that they have to figure this out fro themselves.

Stick to the groups purpose, rules only facilitate achieving your purpose.
