Zionist state of "Israel" seems to be in moral, political, and psychiatric free fall
PalestineFreeVoice
"Israel's" goals in Palestine and Lebanon are inherently irrational. They, argues Issa Khalaf*, represent a distorted rationalisation of power and create the conditions for consequences that "Israel" cannot control. As we witness the unfolding spectacle of ferocious, indiscriminate violence, destruction, and brutality in Gaza and Lebanon, it's difficult to resist the conclusion that there is something terribly ! wrong with the "Israeli" state and society. It's as though all moral and psychological constraints and boundaries have been breached, deviancy normalised...

Iraqi Resistance Report for events of Saturday, 26 August 2006.
Translated and/or compiled by Muhammad Abu Nasr, member, editorial board, the Free Arab Voice
...In a dispatch posted at 11:15pm Makkah time Saturday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the pro-American chief of the so-called Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI), 'Abd al-'Aziz al-Hakim had renewed his calls for the establishment of what he called a "federation" in which southern and central Iraq would be largely independent o! f the rest of the country. Inn a statement issued by his office, al-Hakim urged members of his party to "raise consciousness about what he called the "advantages of federation." The statement said that federation was the "greatest guarantee for our people" – presumably a reference to Iraqi Shi'ah – and stressed the importance of getting people to vote for the "formation of a central and southern Iraqi region so that oppression may not return" as he put it, al-Jazeera satellite TV, as monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam, reported. Calls for a so-called "federation" that would largely split Iraq along religious and ethnic lines are consitent with plans hatched by US and Zionist politicians and reflected recently by Leslie Gelb (President Emeritus of the US Council on Foreign Relations) in "The Three-State Solution published in The New York Times on 25 November 2003, in the article by Gelb and US Democratic Senator Joseph Biden in "Unity through Autonomy in Iraq," in The New York! Times on 1 May 2006...

Pipelines to 9/11
Rudo de Ruijter, POAC
This article is about backgrounds of the US war against Afghanistan. It is about oil, gas and pipelines around the Caspian Sea. To transport oil and gas from the east side of the Caspian Sea, pipelines had been planned through Afghanistan. Because a US company, UNOCAL, failed to control the Afghan route, the war was prepared. When the military was ready to strike, the terrorists of 9/11 gave Bush the pretext to start this war and obtain support from Congress, the U.S. pop! ulation and the rest of the world...

UFPJ: The Absence of Moral Character
Free Palestine Alliance
As we join people around the world in mobilizing against the unspeakable atrocities being committed by the Israeli military in Lebanon and Palestine, we are forced to turn our attention to attempts by forces within the US justice movement who have made a habit of condemning the popular resistance of the Arab people. We feel that this is important due to the continued and unabated attempts to marginalize the voice of those at the receiving end of war. A ! comprehensive position paper on this matter will be issued shortly addressing language manipulations, political construct, and historical distortions. On July 18, 2006, during peak wholesale murders at the hands of the Israeli military, United for Peace and Justice (UFPJ) issued a statement that condemned the popular resistance movement in Lebanon as it equated it with Israeli actions. This was followed by a call on July 19, in which UFPJ not only completely eliminated Palestine (once again) from the political scene, but also escalated its condemnation of the resistance and declared that it was in violation of International Law. UFPJ went further to echo the US administration's own political constructs, that the Israeli forces should not use a "disproportionate response" - as if a proportionate one exists, and as if the violence of colonists is just a mere "response"...

Weary Iraqis Face New Foe: Rising Prices
DAMIEN CAVE, NYTimes
For Mehdi Dawood, Iraq’s failures have leached into the cucumbers, a staple of every meal that now devours a fifth of his monthly pension. And it is not just the vegetables. Fuel and electricity prices are up more than 270 percent from last year’s, according to Iraqi government figures. Tea in some markets has quadrupled, egg prices have doubled, and all over the country the daily routine now includes a new question: What can be done without? "Meat, I ! just don’t buy it anymore," said Mr. Dawood, 66, holding half-filled bags at a market in Baghdad. "It’s too expensive." "We are all suffering," he said. "It’s the government’s fault. There is no security. There is no stability." (...) Three months into the administration of Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki, the inflation rate has reached 70 percent a year, up from 32 percent last year...

Nato pilots accused of killing Afghan children
Tom Coghlan, The Independent
Nato pilots have been accused of killing 13 Afghan civilians, including nine children, during an attack close to the British base at Musa Kala in Helmand province. Witnesses and relatives of the dead, who were interviewed by The Independent at the town of Lashkargar, claim that on 31 July a family of 13 was attempting to flee the fighting in a rented pickup truck with three other men when an aircraft appeared overhead. "We stopped the car! ," said Abdul Habib, 40. "Then the plane dropped a bomb ahead of us and went away. After a while we started driving again, but the aircraft came back. I told my wives to stand up so that the pilot would see they were women, but at that moment it opened fire."...

"THE JERUSALEM DECLARATION ON CHRISTIAN ZIONISM" - Statement by the Patriarch and Local Heads of Churches In Jerusalem
Christian Zionism is a modern theological and political movement that embraces the most extreme ideological positions of Zionism, thereby becoming detrimental to a just peace within Palestine and Israel. The Christian Zionist programme provides a worldview where the Gospel is identified with the ideology of empire, colonialism and militarism. In its extreme form, it laces an emphasis on apocalyp! tic events leading to the end of history rather than living Christ's love and justice today. We categorically reject Christian Zionist doctrines as false teaching that corrupts the biblical message of love, justice and reconciliation.

Cleanup of Lebanon's Massive Oil Spill Could Take Years
IMEMC News
Cleanup of a massive oil slick along Lebanon's coast has barely begun more than one month after Israel's bombing of a power plant unleashed the pollution. At a bend in the boardwalk along the edge of Beirut, thick and nauseating black water laps against about 20 flat-bottomed fishing boats sheltered in a cove toward the south of the city. The United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) estimates that between 10,000 and 15,000 tons (11,000-16,500 ton! s) of fuel oil leaked from the Jiyeh electric power plant in mid-July after two Israeli air raids. The seaside plant, 30 kilometers south of Beirut, burned for 12 days...

The ceasefire that isn't

The ceasefire that isn't

By Eli

The U.S. blocked a ceasefire in Lebanon for weeks as Israel continued its killing spree; only after the price Israel was paying became too high did they start getting cold feet and ask their U.S. allies to move in the U.N. and get a ceasefire which they hoped could achieve the goals they weren't able to achieve militarily. But, as readers of this blog know well, Israel has another war going, this one against the Palestinians. And the calls for a ceasefire on that front? Why, they're just deafening. Deafening silence, that is. Well, unless you're on the wrong end of an Israeli bomb, like two Reuters journalists were today:

An Israeli air strike hit a Reuters vehicle in Gaza City on Saturday, wounding two journalists as they covered a military incursion, doctors and residents said.

One of the Palestinian journalists, who worked for a local media organization, was seriously wounded. A cameraman working for Reuters was knocked unconscious in the air strike, one of several in the area.
As usual, the Israelis had their cover story ready:
The Israeli army said the vehicle was hit because it was acting suspiciously in an area of combat and had not been identified as belonging to the media.
Also as usual, the Israelis were lying through their teeth:
The missile struck the vehicle after dark. The armored car was clearly labeled as a media vehicle, with signs on all sides, including the roof.

Unclaimed Territory - by Glenn Greenwald: Still more unchecked powers for the Bush administration

This article from the San Francisco Chronicle details the truly amazing story of two U.S. citizens -- a 45-year old resident of the San Francisco area and his 18-year old son -- who, after travelling to Pakistan, have been barred by the Bush administration from re-entering the country. They have not been charged with any crime, and no court has ordered or even authorized this denial of entry. The administration is just unilaterally prohibiting these two Americans from re-entering their country.

In corruption

The important part here is that the official being bribed was handling issues in the Northern Marianas Islands — which have been run for years as the deepest pit of sweatshop hell. Factories in the Northern Marianas are guilty of forced labor, human rights abuses, and even forced abortions... and because it's a U.S. territory, the goods produced by these exploited workers can be proudly labeled "Made In The U.S.A."

Ahmadinejad: We are Not a Threat to Any Country, Including Israel

Believe it, don't believe it, that's up to you. But at least we should know what exactly he said, which is not something our US newspapers will tell us about Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's speech on Saturday:

Kayhan reports that [Pers.] Ahmadinejad said, "Iran is not a threat to any country, and is not in any way a people of intimidation and aggression." He described Iranians as people of peace and civilization. He said that Iran does not even pose a threat to Israel, and wants to deal with the problem there peacefully, through elections:

"Weapons research is in no way part of Iran's program. Even with regard to the Zionist regime, our path to a solution is elections."

Ahmadinejad seems to be explaining what his calls for the Zionist regime to be effaced actually mean. He says he doesn't want violence against Israel, despite its own acts of enmity against Middle Eastern neighbors. I interpret his statement on Saturday to be an endorsement of the one-state solution, in which a government would be elected that all Palestinians and all Israelis would jointly vote for. The result would be a government about half made up of Israeli ministers and half of Palestinian ones. Whatever one wanted to call such an arrangement, it wouldn't exactly be a "Zionist state," which would thus have been dissolved.

The schlock Western pundits, journalists and politicians who keep maintaining that Ahmadinejad threatened "to wipe Israel off the map" when he never said those words will never, ever manage to choke out the words Ahmadinejad spoke on Saturday, much less repeat them as a tag line forever after.

Supreme Jurisprudent Khamenei's pledge of no first strike against any country by Iran with any kind of weapon, and his condemnation of nuclear bombs as un-Islamic and impossible for Iran to possess or use, was completely ignored by the Western press and is never referred to. Indeed, after all that talk of peace and no fist strike and no nukes, Khamenei at the very end said that if Iran were attacked, it would defend itself. Karl Vicks of the Washington Post at the time ignored all the rest of the speech and made the headline, 'Khamenei threatens reprisals against US." In other words, on Iran, the US public is being spoonfed agitprop, not news.

Although Iran's protestations of peaceful intentions are greeted cynically in the US and Israel, in fact Iran has not launched a war of aggression in over a century. The US and Israel have launched several during that period of time.

Ahmadinejad made the remarks in a speech inaugurating work on a heavy water nuclear reactor in Arak. I don't think that work is very advanced. The Iranians maintain that it is for peaceful energy generation.

Much of the electricity produced in France, South Korea and Japan is generated by nuclear plants.

Experts Who Uncovered CIA Spying And Kidnapping In Italy Murdered

By ElaineMeinelSupkis

Two men who were keys to the breaking of the CIA kidnapping and spying stories in Italy and Greece are now both dead. Each murder was made to look like a 'suicide' even though both men were very active in ongoing legal cases in Italy concerning the CIA. This is the latest in a long string of very suspicious deaths connected with 9/11 and the anthrax attack that hit only people on a short list of people Bush wanted to intimidate or kill.

Do you really need that flat-pack wardrobe or would the foldaway futon be a better buy? Why not have lunch and think about it? Then you might need to choose between pickled herring or Swedish meatballs. Everywhere we are confronted with difficult choices. In Luke Rhinehart's novel The Dice Man, the eponymous hero makes all his decisions by rolling a dice. Few of us would trust to a life ruled by chance, so we tend to think carefully about the complex decisions (the wardrobe or the futon) but are content to trust our instincts with the simpler things (meatballs or herring). New research by Ap Dijksterhuis and his colleagues at the University of Amsterdam suggests that we would be better off thinking about the simple choices, and leaving the life-changing decisions to our unconscious mind."

Stretch Goals Matter

By ChrisBrogan on motivation

My son, Harold, is 7 months old (You can glimpse him at the end of a movie here). He’s mastered sitting up, and now he’s trying to figure out moving around on the ground. I’ve realized something pertinent to careers this morning based on this experience, and thought I’d share it.

(You didn’t think this was suddenly Parent Hacks, did you?)

Stretch Goals Matter

Harold was trying to reach a toy just a hair out of his reach. I almost leaned over and handed it to him, but then I realized the moment: he had a shot at achieving something. It’d take some work, and he’d really have to be uncomfortable and unfulfilled until he got the job done, but the end product would be achievement. Accomplishment.

What good would handing the block to him be? He’d be satisfied, but not fulfilled. It’s the difference between a lunch of potato chips versus a lunch with a salad and sandwich and water. Both fill the belly, but one adds value.

But Don’t Stretch Too Far

Now, had I come over and pulled the block 12 feet away, Harold would recognize right away that he wouldn’t be able to get the block. At least not at his current level. Instead, he’d be frustrated, sad, and probably start looking around for something new to do.

Sound like employees? Sound like you?

Set Stretch Goals

If you read Lifehack, you already know that YOU set the goals, not the employer. Right? If you’re letting your boss set your goals, you’ve got something that needs correcting. Your annual goal list must be beneficial to both parties, and supervisors use goals to correct actions, train you for new roles, etc, but ultimately, this is YOUR process. Agreed? Good.

Do I have to tell you about SMART goals? You know that too, right? Simple, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timebound.

Let’s do the process in order:

  1. Bring out your personal mission statement, or write down on a 3×5 card what matters most to you, in all the roles of your life.
  2. Set a HUGE goal for each of those roles that matter to you. (For instance, if you’ve said your fitness matters, and you’ve just started working out two or so times a week, the HUGE goal could be “Sign up for a Marathon 10 months from today.”)
  3. Set stretch goals to get there. In the example listed, the first might be to schedule a run/walk program, and start it.
  4. Set dates for each small segment, each stretch goal. Dates matter.
  5. COMMUNICATE the dates with someone that will help you be accountable.
  6. Boil the goals list down into something that fits into your context/execution system (like Getting Things Done).
  7. Execute against the plan.
  8. Schedule goal reviews every month. Correct your course accordingly.
  9. CELEBRATE goal milestones reached.

This is something you can use if you’re self-employed, unemployed, over-employed. It fits inside all the frameworks of our lives. My point about not letting your company run you is vital to the process, and important to realizing who’s in control of your self-improvement. Oh. Right. “SELF” improvement. “PERSONAL” development.

Harold got the block, and he was really happy with it. And, just like you and your career, Harold celebrated the victory, and then went on to his next goal, a stuffed cat named Cowboy Kitty.

Want to share? Submit a few of your HUGE goals and the stretch goals you’ll use to get there to the comments of this post. Or send trackbacks to the post and I’ll come visit your site.

Newsweek: Armitage Confessed To Being Plame Leak — And State Department Kept It A Secret

By Rachel Sklar

armitage.jpg from conspiracyplanet.com

Newsweek's Michael Isikoff reveals that Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage admitted to leaking Valerie Plame 's name — but that the State Department held that information back.

This is revealed in Isikoff's upcoming book, "Hubris: The Inside Story of Spin, Scandal, and the Selling of the Iraq War," written with The Nation's David Corn and State Department intelligence chief Carl Ford Jr. Armitage apparently let the tidbit slip to Robert Novak in an unguarded moment, and realized that he was the source when Novak revealed in a column that the source was a senior administration officially who was "not a partisan gunslinger". Revealed Armitage to Colin Powerll: "I'm sure he's talking about me." State Department officials Armitage, Powell and William Howard Taft IV, the State Department's legal adviser did not reveal the information, which was, according to Isikoff, that "rarest of Washington phenomena: a hot secret that never leaked."

Earlier this week it was revealed that Armitage may have also told Bob Woodward about Plame's identity. It was previously established that Karl Rove had confirmed to Novak that "Wilson's wife" — the identity of which was just a Who's Who entry away — worked at the CIA, and also revealed that information to Time's Matt Cooper; separately, I. Lewis (Scooter) Libby, told the New York Times' Judith Miller.

On Your Mark, Get Set, Bomb!
Remi Kanazi
Ladies and gentlemen, grab your rockets and start firing. The sovereign state of Lebanon must respond to the gross violation of UN resolution 1701, by destroying Israel if necessary. The Lebanese population cannot wake up every morning, wondering if their rogue state of a neighbor is going to drive them into the sea or possibly up to the mountains (it depends which direction the Israeli forces drop in from). But seriously, can Iran nuke Israel yet? I realize Iran doesn’t h! ave any, but since violating a UN resolution—excluding the 66 passed chiding Israel—is a death sentence (i.e. UN Resolution 1559), I’m sure the US government will have no problem express shipping a couple to Tehran. The world will call it "disproportionate," but since when did the ol’ red, white and blue give a damn about what those pansies in Europe and those carpet riders in the desert said anyway? My freedom toast tastes better with a little ass-kicking on top...

Those opposed to nuclear annihilation are appeasers and guilty of "handwringing"
Glenn Greenwald
I read numerous pro-Bush blogs on a daily basis, including many war mongerers who routinely imply that we ought to be eradicating large numbers of Middle Eastern civilians as the solution to all of our woes, so it takes a lot in the extremism department to really surprise me. But this column from Walter Williams -- highly recommended today by National Review's Mark Levin -- did so with plenty of room to spare. ! Williams points out that we could easily "annihilate" Iran or Syria with nuclear weapons launched from submarines. He then claims that the Great Generation of World War II would have done so already, but laments the tragic fact that we are deterred from doing this by what he calls the "handwringing about the innocent lives lost, so-called collateral damage"

William Cohen Demands Never Ending Servitude
Kurt Nimmo
According to William Cohen, former Secretary of Offense and Clinton administration war criminal, few of us have made the sort of "commitment to universal service" demanded by our rulers, or are we "really committed to this war against terrorism," that is to say the forever war against Islam. Appearing on Fox, Cohen said "something has to be done to put us on a war footing mentality," as obviously the spate of fake color-coded terror alerts, revealed to be no! thing more than crass political monkeywrenching, and the parade of duped patsies in Miami, Ontario, and London, to name but the most recent, have not frightened the populace to the degree required. In order to get the people in the appropriate mindset, Cohen believes we need "national service," that is to say he is in favor of mandatory servitude, otherwise known as slavery, and he describes this national serfhood as "helping out at homes, health care, nurses, etc.," when in fact the state—or, more specifically, the multinational corporations and banksters who run the state—could care less about such things. In essence, this is a foot in the door for a military draft, as millions of soldiers, or pawns, need to be thrown on toxic and depleted uranium battlegrounds for the next generation or two...

'Fixing' Iran Intelligence
John Prados
More and more it appears that the pattern of manipulation and misuse of intelligence that served the Bush administration in the drive to start a war with Iraq is being repeated today for its neighbor Iran. Recently we reported on TomPaine.com one facet of the repetition—that Congress, not the president, has had to ask for National Intelligence Estimates that would shed light on a key foreign policy issue on the front burner in the Bush White House. The demand described there! pertained to Iraq, but Congress has also pressed for an NIE on Iran, where many worry that the government of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, which denies it, is secretly conducting a nuclear weapons development program...

Stoking Hate Toward Arabs and Muslims Politicians Responsible for Climate of Racism
Sharon Smith, www.dissidentvoice.org
...By invoking the war on terror abroad, Bush has emboldened the cause of racial profiling against Arabs and Muslims at home. Fox News’ Bill O'Reilly asserted just days ago, "All young Muslims should be subjected to more scrutiny than Granny [at U.S. airports]. And we should blend some Israeli screening procedures with our own." A significant minority of Americans apparently agree. A USA Today/! Gallup Poll conducted in late July showed nearly 40 percent of Americans said they felt at least some prejudice against Muslims. The same percentage favored requiring all Muslims, including U.S. citizens, to carry a special ID "as a means of preventing terrorist attacks in the United States." Nearly one in four -- 22 percent -- said they wouldn’t want to have Muslims as their neighbors...

Saviour of Iraq's antiquities flees to Syria
Michael Howard, The Guardian
Iraq's most prominent archaeologist has resigned and fled the country, saying the dire security situation, an acute shortage of funds, and the interference of supporters of the radical Shia cleric Moqtada al-Sadr had made his position intolerable. Donny George, who was president of the State Board of Antiquities and Heritage, achieved international recognition for his efforts to track down and recover the priceless antiquities looted from I! raq's National Museum in the mayhem that followed the fall of Baghdad in 2003 (...) The culture ministry could not be reached for comment yesterday but a senior Sadrist, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Dr George had served throughout the former regime and "had done nothing to stop Saddam carving his name into the walls of every brick" during the reconstruction of the ancient palace at Babylon...

The Liquid Bomb Hoax: The Larger Implications
James Petras, www.dissidentvoice.org
The charges leveled by the British, US and Pakistani regimes that they uncovered a major bomb plot directed against nine US airlines is based on the flimsiest of evidence, which would be thrown out of any court, worthy of its name. An analysis of the current state of the investigation raises a series of questions regarding the governments’ claims of a bomb plot concocted by 24 Brits of Pakistani origin. The arrests were followed ! by the search for evidence, as the August 12, 2006 Financial Times states: "The police set about the mammoth task of gathering evidence of the alleged terrorist bomb plot yesterday." (FT, August 12/, 2006) In other words, the arrests and charges took place without sufficient evidence -- a peculiar method of operation -- which reverses normal investigatory procedures in which arrests follow the "monumental task of gathering evidence." If the arrests were made without prior accumulation of evidence, what were the bases of the arrests?...

Karl Rove's Blood Libel
Chris Floyd
From CNN/AP: Rove Blasts Warrantless Wiretapping Decision. TOLEDO, Ohio -- Presidential adviser Karl Rove criticized a federal judge's order for an immediate end to the government's warrantless surveillance program, saying Wednesday such a program might have prevented the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Rove said the government should be free to listen if al Qaeda is calling someone within the U.S. "Imagine if we could have done that before 9/11. It might have been a diff! erent outcome," he said. It's time to be done with the dangerous fiction that this kind of thing is just "hardball politics" – or indeed, politics of any kind, as the term is normally understood in a democracy. What Rove is giving voice to here is nothing less than the new blood libel of our age: that those who oppose the Bush Administration's unconstitutional actions are opening the door to a new 9/11. The implication is clear: anyone who speaks up for the Constitution is working for the death of innocent Americans. They are, by definition, traitors. Thus they deserve what traitors get: death...

Cenk Uygur: The NeoClowns Are at it Again

By Cenk Uygur on Iraq

The New York Times had an article on Thursday about desperate neoclown warmongers who are dying for more war. This time the neoclowns want to attack Iran, because attacking Iraq went so well.

Newt Gingrich had a gargantuanly stupid quote in the article, which we'll get to in a second. But first let me start with my favorite quote by a "senior United States official," otherwise known as a neoclown inside the Vice President's office. He is referring to the intelligence agencies who have found no evidence of an Iranian nuclear program:

"We're not in a court of law," he said. "When they say there is 'no evidence,' you have to ask them what they mean, what is the meaning of the term 'evidence'?"

Aren't these the same guys that were all over Clinton for asking what "is" is? Read the above sentence again. First, he admits that there is no evidence. Then, his best defense is to question what the word "evidence" means. That's embarrassing. This is a person in a position of power inside our government.

Gee, I wonder how the intelligence got manipulated in the lead up to the Iraq War. If you'd like a refresher course, just watch how they're doing it right now with Iran.

Here's my second favorite quote from the article:

"The consensus of the intelligence agencies is that Iran is still years away from building a nuclear weapon. Such an assessment angers some in Washington."

Isn't it a good thing that they are years away from a nuclear weapon? Wouldn't it give us more time to figure out how to stop them? Not if you're a neoclown. This means war might be delayed. They must have war and they must have it right now. War, war, war.

Now, we come to our old friend Newt Gingrich, who has stopped cheating on his wives long enough to make this absolutely asinine statement:

"When the intelligence community says Iran is 5 to 10 years away from a nuclear weapon, I ask: 'If North Korea were to ship them a nuke tomorrow, how close would they be then?"

Not as close as North Korea.

Let me ask a very simple question: If North Korea already has the weapons and they are also in the axis of evil, why aren't we attacking them? Why are the neoclowns trying to attack a country that might buy it from the North Koreans when they could just attack North Korea, who they haven't paid a lick of attention to in six years?

The answer is 100% undeniable - because it isn't about the weapons. That's just a convenient excuse used to scare the American people. Iraq didn't have any weapons and we're still in there three and half years later. It was never about the weapons. One of the main neoclown architects, Paul Wolfowitz, pretty much admitted it after the Iraq War started. Now, they're shamelessly bringing that old dead horse out again.

Other quick points about Gingrich's buffoonish point: 1. Isn't he admitting that Iran doesn't have any weapons and would have to buy them from North Korea? 2. What would prevent them from buying those weapons the day after our air strikes? 3. In fact, wouldn't they have a far greater incentive to buy nuclear weapons if we attacked them? Especially because they would have learned that their current weapons were not enough of a deterrent and North Korea's nuclear weapons were.

You see, I don't think Gingrich is actually this dumb. But I do think he believes you are. He thinks he can sell any bag of goods to the US population because he is so much smarter than everyone else. Like when he so cleverly divorced his wife as she was lying in a hospital bed with cancer. Man, that was crafty.

Look, I don't have a problem with neoclowns making these arguments. It's a free country. If you want to put on a shiny red nose and big floppy shoes and make clowning your calling in life, more power to you. What I don't get is why we're still going to the circus. Haven't we had enough of this freak show?

These guys should be the laughing stock of the country right now. And here is all of Washington taking them very seriously to this day and having a legitimate discussion about whether we should attack another Middle Eastern country that did not attack us and has no weapons. How many times do we have to point out how absolutely insane that is before the people in power (politicians and the press) get it? It shouldn't that difficult.

Anyone who backs this war drive will look back and regret it forever. Anyone who still wants to get in the car these neoclowns are driving is going to be eternally embarrassed. You're going to think - what was I thinking? Consider this a preemptive intervention. Get out of the clown car and slowly back away. There is still time for you to pretend you were on to them the whole time.

Bloglines - Fake Wings and Tails

Humint Events Online
The 9/11 hijacking attacks were very likely facilitated by a rogue group within the US government that created an Islamic terrorist "Pearl Harbor" event as a catalyst for the military invasion of Middle Eastern countries. This weblog will explore the incredibly strange events of 9/11/01, and other issues of US government responsibility.

Fake Wings and Tails

By Spooked

The last couple of days I have been looking (yet again) at the "wing" scars left on the north and south towers of the WTC by whatever it was that attacked the buildings.

Whatever DID attack the buildings made damn good impressions of 767s. First rate impressions-- literally!

But perhaps they were too good!

What is clear is that the wingtips, particularly for the south tower, did not penetrate the columns.

A priori, I would imagine that the wingtips, especially where the wings were slanted back about 35 degrees, would have snapped off in a collision of a 767 with a building having heavy steel columns on its exterior.

As you can see from the frame above, of the CNN "best view" (aka Ghostplane) video, the wings do not snap off.

The same goes for the huge tail of the 767. One would think it would snap off, but the videos show no such thing. And just like the wingtips, the tails of the two planes clearly do not slice through the columns they hit. But there are indeed little indentations made in the facade where the tail hit. Remarkable really, how that happened. But more remarkable is how the wingtips and tails apparently disappear into the building rather than breaking off.

So there are really only two things that can explain the building scars from where the wings and tails hit:

1) the wingtips and tails shredded on the columns into fragments that passed through and then left no debris behind on the facade

2) the scars were made by something other than plane (767) wings and tails

But logically, the shredding mechanism makes no sense. If the wingtips and tails were going to break, they should have broken off en masse, as a chunk.

But the videos show no such thing.

So we must conclude the scars were made by something other than plane (767) wings and tails.

Which of course fits better with the evidence that the videos of the plane were fakes and forgeries.

But the building scars were really cleverly done, I must say!
